Hi , I have been trying to build (for the first time) a coil for the russian 91% tank , I thought I had done everything correctly , it fires ok plenty of vapour but a weird burnt taste , this is my third attempt , I soaked the tank in boiling water as I thought the taste might be from the manufacturing process but when I rebuilt the burnt taste is back , please help ( oh 8 wraps and sterile cotton if that helps) thanks in advance .

Did you scrub out the whole thing with a q-tip and soap? especially the drip tip?

When I got mine I had a horrible taste and it took about 8 q-tips to clean all the machine grime from inside the drip tip.

If you're sure it's clean, you might have the wick holes blocked. Have you looked at any youtube videos yet? It's very similar to the kayfun light, so you can look up videos for that too.

Most importantly, the cotton should be against the square sides of the 'block' but not against the round sides of the chamber. The little holes in the sides need to be clear to allow liquid to be drawn into it.

This.

I have also found when I first got my KFL, I packed to much cotton down and kind of blocked the juice channels at the bottom. Try a few primer puffs as well.
