This is the best advice I can give you, this is "as far as I know" the only starter kit available for the ego twist Joyetech Twist w/ CE5 Ultimate Starter Kit
with that kit all you need is some juice and your set for quite a while, as long as you dont have any tank issues. I have read posts of people getting 3 weeks out of 1 of those heads for the ce5. Also, the owner of the site said they were going to make a 1000mah kit hopefully sometime today.
Im currently using the v2 long batteries. v2 long batteries + carto 140mm, ego twist 120mm. 380mah/1000mah respectively. Its no contest.
To get yourself started do what im doing, iv spent 3 weeks doing research and listening to reviews and searching.
Go to that link and get you the starter kit. Go to avidvapers.com and get you some boge cartomizers as well. Then get some juice from wherever, alien visions, bluemistvaping, myfreedomsmokes, mrstbakery, just look around on the forums or ask about some juices. Someone will set you on the right track with that.

Hi!
Welcome and congrats! Personally, I think the boge cartomizers would give you a good start! You can get a box of 5 here for $5.99 with free shipping:
Boge 510 LR (1 Box) - Stainless
Other vendors carry them as well. This one has good prices on larger quantities also. You will also want to get some juices and probably a drip tip to use on the top instead of the plastic top that comes with them. You can find those for a few dollars and they will last practically forever! I use the condom fill method (do a youtube search). That will fill them up completely. When they start to seem a bit dry, I drip 4 or 5 drops on the top of the filler material, avoiding the center hole. The liquid will soak in and refill it. I think this simulates smoking more than a clearomizer or any other advanced devices as it seems more like taking a drag on a filter.

Thank you, this was really helpful!

Thanks a lot for the link! Could you or anyone explain to me a little more about how the Ego Twist works? How do I know what voltage to set it on?

So this has a cartomizer and not a clearomizer, correct?
And I would have to purchase backup EGO cartomizers?

That is a clearomizer. The easy way to tell them apart at first is to realize that cartomizers put juice in a polyfill like teddy bear stuffing and that is your wick. Clearomizers are different because there is no stuffing, only the raw juice and it is wicked up like a lamp to a coil via an actual wick like you might see in a candle (and in fact when you rebuild your own, you'll find cotton candle wick works quite well for this).

To be specific that appears to be an eGo Vision Clearomizer (aka the "STARDUST" but it's either really old or a knockoff) and a crappy one too. The new ones can be screwed apart and disassembled and they look a little different. I dealt with those terrible clearomizers (the originals that couldn't be taken apart) about 5-6 months ago and they were the bane of my existence for a couple months. They crack really easily - especially when dropped or put in your pocket. Once they're cracked they're going to be ruined within a couple weeks tops. Air gets in and the backpressure starts to pull the juice down into your battery's juice well and then it's over a soaked juice well is not conductive and you have to dry it out and then it becomes a juice waster/another annoying level of maintenance. I was using silicone sealant to bring them back to life but it's a pain and it looks like crap.

If you can fit that on your battery you can fit the much better Vivi Nova Mini, or even better, an E1-V (which kicks the Vivi Nova Mini's .... in flavor, looks, and durability). They are both the same price at $6 a piece. DiscountVapers has very good shipping costs - should be about $2-2.50

E1-V Clearomizer (SR)

BTW: That e-cig I can almost guarantee is a KGO. The KGO, I thought, was the best eGo clone in the world when I first started, and then when the eGo Twist came out I got one of those and realized how foolish I was. The problem with the KGO is that it's really fragile as well, I've since broken both of mine WAY before their time (and wrote a guide on how to repair them in my blog (link's in my signature). The other problem is that they have a bad airflow vent notch system that makes it not vape well with, of all things, the very stardust that is on that package LOLOL. Avoid that deal like the plague.

Instead go over to Altsmoke.com and get 2 genuine JoyEtech "eGo C Twist Replacement batteries" in 1000mah size (they have the cheapest genuine JoyEtechs that I currently know of - watch out for knockoffs they are crappy I have one and it BARELY twists), grab the eGo USB charger (Output DC 4.2v 420mA) and then get 3-4 or those E1-Vs or at least a couple Vivi Nova Minis. It'll cost you a little bit more but you will get what you pay for. This ecig will always be useful as a backup/mobile device even if you get something better like an APV down the road. In the meantime you will never outgrow it, you will grow with it. The KGO you will likely outgrow within a month or two tops.

I think this simulates smoking more than a clearomizer or any other advanced devices as it seems more like taking a drag on a filter.

An ego battery is also good. If you don't mind a larger size, I would go with a twist and also the highest mah (milli amp hours). All that means is more battery power and less time between charges. I am not sure if you can use your blu charger on it or not as I am not familiar with blu! The benefit of the twist is that you just twist the bottom of the battery and it gets "stronger" or "weaker". That gives you more control over the end result. You can dial it to where you like it. That may also change with different juices. You will get different results and can even burn the filler material if you turn it up too high or let the cartomizer get too dry. I find that when the cartomizer gets older, it can get weaker and clogged, so turning it up will let you get a bit more use out of them.

As you go along, you may decide to try different things. A cartomizer tank will feed the juice into the cartomizer so that you won't have to drip more liquid on the top. And, there are also many other "goodies" to buy and try. But, I think the cartomizers are the cheapest and easiest to use. Some people will even clean them to make them last a really long time! Unfortunately, you can not really try a lot of different juices in them. Once you fill them up with one juice, you are stuck with that juice in that carto. Sometimes, you can put in a stronger juice and have it take over. For example, I had some cake batter juice that I liked. After a while, I decided it was a bit bland. So, I added a little cinnamon bun to the top. After that, I could only taste cinnamon bun, even though I kept adding in more cake batter.

By going this route, you open yourself up to a whole world of new flavors! There are thousands of them to choose from! It can be a lot of fun trying out different juices! Most of all, have fun! You can make it as complicated or as simple as you want! Most things are cheap enough to try out. I watch a lot of youtube reviews. You can actually watch someone do whatever it is in "person." I find it much easier that way, to actually see it being done!

Boge WAS the best brand. I've got a 10 pack that I clean and reuse that have been in operation for 7 months! The complete PROVEN process of how I do so is fully detailed in my Vaper's Handbook (link to it is in my signature - it's Question 11).

However, due to the Bogegate scandal recently it's a bit caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) on the Boges right now. Some of them taste really bad. To tell them apart you can also go to my blog and reference "Question 38: What's going on with Boge cartomizers right now? What's up with Bogegate?". Once you know what to look for you should contact your vendor and ask them to either describe the packaging or send you pics before you buy them. If you can get the good ones I highly recommend that ALL vapers have a 5 or 10 pack of these workhorses in their arsenal. As you can see, they really are the forever cartomizer if you get the right ones.

If you look around on youtube, you'll see that there are reviews and tutorial videos on pretty much every vaping-related subject known to mankind. Some of the people doing these reviews look like couldn't be trusted to test rat poison, but this guy - Grimm Green - is very understandable and easy to like.

THE EGO TWIST IS A GAME CHANGER - YouTube

Welcome to the picky, finicky, weirdly obsessive, but oddly entertaining world of vaping!

He's a 3 year veteran and has just about every PV, APV, and Tube Mod known to man. He doesn't know or understand the technical side of electricity or electronics and their effects on vaping, but he makes up for it with pure experience through trial and error. GrimmGreen has a blog at GrimmGreen.com and also sells the incredibly overpriced Namberjuice line. He is more active on Reddit these days than he is here, though he does have an account on ECF.

The only thing to watch out about these YouTube celebrity viewers is that they do get their devices for free and they have a very real vested interest in giving as positive a review as possible (to make sure they get more free stuff to review) without losing viewers in the process (by outright lying or ignoring serious issues with various products). It's a VERY difficult balancing act. Not to mention they probably get Google Ad Sense money from those views. Watch them, learn what you can, trust, but verify. Just realize that though they claim to be impartial, such a thing is impossible considering how they acquire the devices they review. It's hard to truly hate something you didn't pay for, and it's hard to truly love something you didn't earn... Make sense?

PBusardo is another one exactly like GrimmGreen but not as popular. He also has a blog at tasteyourjuice.com he has an account here too under the same name, but he's also not very active here.

I like Estarra because he's active within the ECF Community (username RockinRobbieSF) and he gets nothing for free. He gives solid reviews, but he is not as prolific as the others since he isn't getting his stuff for free. He is far more trustworthy as a result.

Lord Davin does some video reviews too, username davsolomon. He's an awesome guy but he's also fallen behind lately due to his attempt to buy and move into a new house (which is still currently ongoing).

SteelJan is a retired engineer and she knows her stuff. I don't know how much of her stuff she does or does not get for free but she's cool to learn some tech side stuff from. I know she did do what amounts to a commercial for the Smokeless Image Volt (and you could tell how hard it was for her to act enthusiastic lol).

Igetcha69 Scott is a huge UK reviewer. He knows his stuff, and I know he's done some commercial work for Totally Wicked I believe it was in the past. Not sure where he stands with that but he's well respected.

GeekVaporGirl is decent.

CloudsofVapor is totally sold. If you make a comment on his channel about ANY other e-cig being better than the one he's "reviewing" he will threaten to block you. BAD BAD BAD for business.

Then there's me, same name, and you can listen to my music for free :) I don't review anything on youtube I just make vaportunes. :) Check me out.

These are just my judgement calls. Take 'em or leave em, they are my opinion.
