I'm with Buggs on this. I also had the Blu Premium 100. Not bad really. It lead me to ECF so that is good huh?

For the OP: I have read quite a bit about the Vea. It is a quality unit based on the specs. From a quality vendor. And even tho I am a Kgo fan, I would still recommend the Vea to a noobie.
Why? Because it is simple. I think it is very Important for a noobie to keep it simple at first so they don't get discouraged & return to cigarettes.
Just my 2€

The Only thing that I see about the Vea is it says that it has a Push On Cone.

It means no eGo Threads. And that might be an issue with some Current or Future Cartos/tank. If it is the Same price of more than an "eGo" or Riva, I would go with an "eGo" or Riva form an ECF Supplier.

That and the Specs said it was 2.8 volts but I think that is a Type-O for 3.8 Volts.

I agree. One can get a Riva Deluxe cartomizer kit at Liberty Flights for almost half the price ($34.95), the batteries are true 3.7v and they are fully interchangeable with everything 510 threaded (just hit the 20% off button in the upper left corner).

Protected 650mAh, 2.8v pass-through battery with on/off button, non-slip grip, removable light up end cap and pressure release ports. This battery is a direct factory replacement part for the retail version included in the Vea kit. It is identical in quality and performance to the original. Universal 7mm x 0.5mm thread. This battery is intended to be used only on Vea cartomizers.

Warranty: this battery carries the same six month warranty as the original. Click here for more info.

That's kinda my Thinking.

Nothing against JC. I think they are a Good Company and a ECF Supplier.

The Vea is a 650 maH which comes with 510 threaded LR cartos.

"Q: Will your cartomizers fit my e-cigarette?

A: Our Premium Vea™ cartomizers are threaded with the 510 thread size and are compatible with any device that uses this thread design. However due to the low resistance of the cartomizer you should use caution when using the cartomizer on any other devices that are variable voltage capable. "

I'm back - I had to sign off last night as I am getting married on Saturday and have a lot of things to do yet. And I was thinking I wouldn't have to do much other than show up... ;)

Anyways, wow! Thanks for all the helpful feedback! You guys answered all my questions and I appreciate the discussion. I'm left with a lot to research but I have a better understanding of what I'm looking at now. Ultimately I will keep my Blu and use it for travel/work since it is discrete and easy to carry. However, I certainly plan to get something new for home use and I've gathered enough from this thread to get me started.

Thanks again, happy vaping!

Thanks all!

I figured I'd be nice and helpful this week since she has given me permission to vape on our wedding day, lol. I've been trying to quit tobacco for months now but was struggling since I've been using cigarettes/snus for over 9 years.

I tried Blu and haven't had a cigarette since I bought it. I don't even desire them anymore. At first, I thought she'd give me a hard time since it still has nicotine in it but she said "Why would it bother me if you do that?" It's great being able to enjoy something that works out for the both of us. Now I just need to convince her to use some of our gift money to buy a new kit ;)

Firstly:
Best wishes go to the new bride & groom. May you be as happy as we have been.

Secondly:
I sent an email to Johnson Creek about their website being in error stating the Vea battery was 2.8 v when the Spec Sheet shows it at 3.7 v. I just received an email response back thanking me for pointing it out. The website will be corrected. And I will quote Customer Service rep's email when he said "Dang" :)
Hope this helps anyone who might be interested in the Vea.
BTW: the battery works both as a passthru battery & on its own.
