It has already been stated, but one more time get a meter. You cant go firing coils on a mech without knowing what it is reading prior to hitting the fire button. And that looks like a ton of wire. Might be just enough to be a perfect ignition source for that battery you have in there.

Moving on, the diameter of your coils looks to be way to big. Try to shoot for 2mm. A 7/32 drill bit is close enough. Proper wicking is also very important.
The other things to check are, the tightness of your post screws ( must be good and snug to make proper contact) and the contacts in the mod itself. Are they clean and properly adjusted to the battery and the atty themselves?
These are things that need to be done in order to get your mod in proper working order amongst others. If you do not understand or feel uncomfortable with any of this, PLEASE! proceed to your friendly local vapory shop and ask for advice and service before proceeding any further. Most any shop that is worth a salt will be more than happy to help you out. If you do not have one near by, take the time to study mod safety and building tips on YouTube.
