Nah I'll stick with the advice from the man at the Janty store thanks. Has worked so far. I was simply taking 10 draws in fast succesion without rest, literally inhaling then exhaling whilst taking a new inhale. Not enough time for juice to get to the atty. Pretty much the same thing as what you said, we're both just saying it in a different ways.

My point is that it was my drawing style that gave the burnt taste and probably for the reason you said.

so with regards to the OP - reccomending a good drawing style (the REASON the ammount of drops may not be in the bowl) is very good advice imho rather than just saying there aren;t eough drops in the bowl but not expalinin one of the main reasons that could be.

The ceramic bowl that's down at the threaded end needs five drops, and then you add three more drops. After about nine drags, you need to add three more drops -- and keep adding three more drops after every nine drags. The number of drags can vary depending on how long one drags, but the normal time is about six to ten seconds. Nine is the average number of drags for three drops.

Did you actually see an eGo-t atomizer and a tank, Deback? Just curious.

FYI, if you are boiling or rinsing atomizers or cartomizers, DONT use bottled or mineral water! It will leave deposits. It is better to use distilled water, or water from a Reverse osmosis system.

+1. I use distilled water only, it's the safest. No mineral deposits left in the atty.

Is distilled water expensive?

I must say my tawa atty is still tasting clean and vaping well after 2 hot water rinses (Korean tap water is so bad you can't even drink it boiled) and one evian boiling. I'm not too sure enough deposits are being left behind to make a real difference, especally after my blowing out most of the water left behind and then ovenight drying. I'd imagine its negligable at best. Tbh I'm getting fed up with hassle and just want as litle products on hand and as little maintenance rituals as possible. Not one for handyman kind of stuff.... I'm thinking I'll use distileld when I flush out my Ego Xl cartos though as all that filler is more likely to trap deposits etc. Actually I probably wont out of laziness.

I pay a dollar for a gallon at my local supermarket. It's also great for thinning out very thick juices, which may be necessary with our new tanks. They don't like thick liquids. I have 1 oz. dropper bottle of distilled water on my desk, and a 1-gallon bottle in the kitchen for cleaning atties.

I have hard water in my tap, so we drink filtered water. My tea kettle needs a vinegar rinse every week. The mineral deposits are for real. Check your shower head if you don't believe me.

Tankgirl, I found a thread that might shed some light on your problem.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo.../153959-tornado-tank-burning-taste-issue.html

And here's some more information for you about how to use your new kit. Watch all three of Michael's very informative videos and hopefully you'll find answers to your questions. He's promised a follow-up video about cleaning eGo-T atties, so stay tuned.

I also hit a burnt taste in my atty after I vaped my tank dry, I did pretty much what Hotwire did, I just added a 15-min soak in vodka, and my atty is working fine.

Let us know if you managed to save your atty.

Good luck and keep us posted.
