so if it is infact a kr808d-1 how do i know what i can buy for it and from where ?
the instructions say not to use other companies product and that the cartridges cant be refilled ( is this B.S.)
am i able to refil the used cartomizer using the condom method

Yes, if it is indeed a kr808d-1, you can use the condom method.

I buy empty cartomizers and prefilled from VaporNine, and Vapor4Life, and VaporKings. I buy all my accessories from SmokeTip, but that's just me, you can get them at so many places. juice is whatever you like. It's a big wide world of flavors :)

If I were you, I would probably just ignore their warnings and direct drip with whatever fluid I want. By direct dripping, I mean buy a bottle of vaping fluid, and drip about 2 drops directly onto the atomizer (the part that gets hot). Just make sure to redrip if it starts tasting burnt. It's common to not stick with the 1st device you get, but this device will be a good learning experience for you to know what you like more in the future. My first device was a no-name brand which worked horribly too. I purchased it from ebay in china. It was cheap, and perhaps a waste of money, but it helped me to get a feel for what an e-cig was. Also, if you consider the amount you spend on cigarettes, spending this money doesn't seem so bad.

i just purchased my 1st e-cig from a kiosk in the mall
and i am now researching and can not find any info on the device i purchased
im trying to figure out what model it is or is imitating,
also in the little book it says only use smoke nv cartridges , other cartridges or liquids may dammage
i can only buy packs of 5 filled cartomizers from there website but no empties and no e-fluids
does this mean im limited to just this brand and no juices or is there a way around it

does any one have any info on the brand (smoke nv inc)
SMOKE NV INC.

Hard to tell but it may be a 808D-2 Cartomizer ... best and least expensive alternative is to get a 901 or 510 kit.. I used madvapes, they have a great price on full kits and they ship FAST!
You can find accessories for the 901 and 510's everywhere!

There are so many companies, but here's the ones I've bought from. Others will have their own opinions and favorites, still others are cheaper:

SmokeTip - guarantees batteries for life. Kristi is great. Accessories are all guaranteed for 90 days. I also like their Marlboro cartomizers, but they top out at 16mg.
Vapor Kings - Pre-filled cartomizers
Vapor4Life - Good sales on Pre-filled cartomizers, lots of flavors.
VaporNine - I love the Turbo cartomizers and service. Ben is great and there are good tutorial videos at his site.

Juices:
VoidMist.com
Freedomsmokeusa.com
VelvetVapors.com
VaporNine.com

Hope this helps. Just be sure it's a kr808d-1 or none of the above will apply ;-)

If it says KR808 D1, you are set. There are tons of places selling the cartomizers for this one. It's the one I use. Don't worry if you spent a bit much. Just enjoy it. You are going to love it. PS Ignore the people telling you to get another model. They always do that. I, for one, would never trade my KR808 for a 510; I have a ton of them that I had before buying the KR808.

The kiosk at my mall sells a model that is completely compatible with my KR808D-1, including cartomizers, battery, and charger. I advise against buying at a local store simply because they are usually not as well versed in the product. I always go through the internet for my product because it's cheaper and I know it is good quality. Most of the time local suppliers sell them expensive for the convenience. For the KR808D-1, I ordered from www.LiteCigUSA.net and got a battery, 5 prefilled cartomizers, a personal charging case, 5 blank cartomizers, and a 10ml bottle of eliquid for just under $45 and they work great, while my local mall sells a single battery for $50 not including tax. But as I was saying, I believe your model is more than likely a KR808D-1, aka "the Vapor King".

You can try the KR808 cheaply at Analog Alternative, The Smoking Alternative where you can buy a kit for $35 and free shipping. Then, if you love it, you can buy some extra batteries to keep you going. You can also get 15% of with coupon code VACATION either today or tomorrow since they are closing for a week for vacation. Great service, quick and free shipping, can't beat it.

I bought a Smoke51 at the mall and had the same worries as you. They told me *not* to buy any other filters except theirs. *pfft* they just want you to keep going back and spending 3x more than you have to. I take the filler material out of the cartridges and then wash them off and bought my own filler material and liquids to put in them. They work just fine and taste a heck of a lot better than what came with it.

The unit works just fine. Unfortunately, I can't find any compatible parts anywhere else besides from them that I can say for certain will work, so I'll be buying a different set up soon. No WAY am I paying $60 for a battery. Their replacement atomizers are $20 a piece! My husband said he ran into a woman at the store who was using mall e-cigs for a while but ultimately went back to analogs because she was tired of buying $60 batteries every 2 months. These rip-off places are giving PVs a really bad rep. I wish I had been with him, so I could have given her this site.

I need to correct that but can't seem to edit it. That is supposed to be a 4081. Alice

My first kit was a DirectEcig which is a rebranded classic 8041. I found this out via wonderful members here. Posting a picture is best and measure the diameter, in miliimeters across the outside of the attomizer, the part that screws into the battery. Most rulers and tape measures have inch and mm markings.

It is highly likely that your PV is a rebranded common style. You'll probably be able to find many parts for it at great prices, from many vendors.

It is probably bunk that any other cartridge will harm your PV.

DH and I have several styles now. going on one month vaping. He is recovering from a pretty bad upper respiratory virus that went into a bacterial bronchial infection and is coughing violently and frequently (He's on antibiotics. DH is M.D.; I'm RN.). The original ecig is perfect for him right now as the vape is "milder" than our others.

I just purchased an extra battery and PCC for it as we will still use it and/or loan it out to friends (Merchant sent me a complimentary, preloaded carto too.). I had already ordered additional carts and attys from DirectEcig and I'm now cleaning and reusing them, using my own fluval filling. I didn't want to waste my initial investment in it even though we have, more or less, "moved on".
