i am new to this, and i may give up soon if things dont start getting better. i started with a disposible, it tasted good but gave little vape, so I ordered a 510 mini from mad vapes. turns out the order was wrong, and they didnt ship it priority like i paid for. so anyways they clear that up and send me my order, i was soo happy, but come to find out that although this e cig does give off alot more vape, all four flavours i got taste horrible, they all have the same gross taste to them that overpowers the flavouring,its a very nasty almost sweet taste. i followed all instructions that ive gotten like blowing out a new atty, and giving it a few puffs to get rid of the primer. any help with this problem would be awsome, as i dont want to keep smoking analogs but have tried everything to quit with little success. THANK YOU!

Use decent juices and use cartomizers (what most use instead of atomizer + cartridge). Prefilled atomizer carts are not very good and cart+atomizer is the least favorite way to vape. You can keep using atomizer and carts - you will have to clean your an atomizer probably every week so you should have at least one spare. You'll have to restuff your carts (use the precut blue foam stuffing for 510 from strictlyejuice.com). Buy decent eliquids. I recommend you try Boge standard resistance cartomizers (not the LR ones - those are for big fat battery models and can damage slim batteries) and for those I recommend thin juices with 20% or less VG. Most people use cartomizers for their main juices.

Did you get manual batteries? If not, then you will have to be extremely careful that a cartomizer is not going to leak before putting it on your battery. The manuals are sealed on the end and safe from juice leaks, the autos have a hole there and their necessary drag switch right inside the hole - get that sticky or short it with juice and the battery will be ruined.

And smell the vapor. The sweet may be the taste of PG or VG (VG is sweeter) so everything is slightly sweet. Some tobaccos are quite sweet like RY4 and 555 Even US cigarettes all have sugar or honey in them. Smell the vapor. Most of the taste is in the aroma, just like with food. Your tongue can only taste sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami (MSG).

Hi tim i dont know were you placed your order from but finding the right juice is a long trial an error for everyone.Everybody has different tastes. I know i spent 40 bucks with one company and could not find a flavour i liked and still have six flavours to try from them but have not even attempted it yet because the first 5 i tried turned me off so bad. But i did however find a company that agrees to me for the time being and have been vaping one flavour for three weeks. Keep tring new flavours and you will find the right one. Usually you can get small samplers of several flavours to make your decision easier to buy in bulk. What flavour are you looking for and what flavours did you order that you did not like? This will make it easier for people to help.

hey man, what flavors you try? and probally the best tasting liquid on the market my opinon of course but backyardbrew.com, they got the best you gotta wait as everything is always made to order for freshness, so what flavors and what mg of nicotine did you get ? ill do all i can to help out with ya took a little while for me to find my favortie but trust me there out there and now me and the misses been going strong and steady with the right stuff and products youll find exactly what you want stay strong my friend you get thru it !

jungletim, the first time I vaped a cartridge that came with the kit, I thought it tasted like vegetable oil and hated it. A month later, after trying 30 some flavors, I went back to the first and loved it. The juice does make a difference, while your taste buds are changing too. You can use carts or cartos, but try sample juices and hang in there.

If you want it to taste like a cigarette.....it won't. BIG PERIOD. You have to and will get over it. What you will find in a while is that there are some great flavors out there that you will love. (none will taste like a cigarette) I can't tell you what you will love, that is part of the journey, but you will find it. Everyone is different. What I love you might hate. Patience! It will take you some time and trial and error to get this to a level that works for you. You really do need to try different suppliers for your ejuices and find the ones that work best for you. Also, as has been mentioned, you may find cartos easier to deal with. They can be ordered pre-filled also and you can refill them with similar flavors that you have found and like.
I usually use Tasty Vapor and Freedomsmokesusa(links can be found here) for my liquids. You can order different strengths of nic when you figure out what level you need in that.
Options are amazing in this adventure and you really have to look at this learning as an adventure.

Personally I hate cartos I strictly direct drip since day one I thonk its the only wsy to really get a good hit off the ecig try tasty vapors they do 4 different flavors a week for 10 dollars for 30 ml all their juices are bangin if u are intetested in vaping get a decent mod thatll do more than 3.7 volts box mods are as cheap as egos and will do 5 volts make sure to have extra batteries get a drip tip too

Sweetheart ... four flavors is NOTHING ... many of us have gone through 10, 20, 30 juices to find one that hits the spot ... or even almost hits the spot. Hang in there, as everyone else has said before me ... it will be worth it! Finding the right gear + the right juice is not a quick process. This journey involves a lot of trial and error ... but it's always worth it and ALWAYS fun! (Unlike boring ol' same taste analogs)

Trial and error is surely right on the money. I'm still trying and erroring quite a lot. Think I'm getting closer, well sure hope I'm getting closer. In 2 months I've bought 4 starter packs now, first 2 were gas station rip offs. Third was a 510 titan that works great just not near enough batt. life for me. My tornado came yesterday so far so good but alas I dun have any good juice to go into it.

I've had just as much trouble with juice as my cigg. My neighbor put me on to johnson creek, so I got the multi pack. Actually found a flavor I loved. What I didn't know is apparently JC juices are atomizer killers. It kills them for me in about 2 days. I still have some left but refuse to kill another one like that. Now I have juices in route from ms. t's bakery and two of the flavor of the week flavors from tasty vapes. I really hope their good but its a shame they wont be here till next week.

I've almost gotten discouraged enough to give up more than once now, I just keep thinking about how much I want to quit analogs. I've smoked 1.5 packs or more a day now for 20 years. I know I'll get it right soon, just hope It dun cost me too much more with the errors. Hard to explain to my wife how it'll be so much cheaper when I've been spending more money than on this than I did on analogs.

Finding juice you enjoy is the hardest part. Gosh, I hope you hang in there... it's SO worth it!!

I suggest buying juice from juice suppliers and your hardware from the hardware suppliers. And +1 for dripping straight into an atomizer with a drip tip until you find juice you enjoy. You can waste a lot of cartomizers filling them with skunk juice.

Are you looking for tobacco-tasting juice? PM me. I can send you a few samples of tobaccos I tried and weren't a fit. USA mix tobacco juice I didn't find offensive and it's not sweet. Casalanca from BWB is not sweet (to me). I've bought 200+ juices and am still on the hunt. I've found 5 favorites I love so far. It's not futile. I'm just stupid-picky about flavors. If all else fails you might want to try flavorless juice with the nic level of your choice. It will have a little flavor - a subtle sweetness from VG. I ordered some flavorless from KickBassVapor and it's great for BVDs (Bad Vape Days when nothing tastes right) and fixing juices with too much flavor. You truly can do this! Keep asking questions. What ever you do please don't give up. My personal mistake was trying a bunch of juice flavors so far off what I normally was smoking that everything tasted weird to me. I too started off with cart's and quickly moved to carto's...big difference, less mess, no leaking etc.

When starting off I'd recommend trying a flavor as close to what you smoked and keep in mind it will not, will not, taste exactly like a real cigarette...you're not burning anything; but the flavors can come pretty close. Then after a while start sampling different flavors.

There are tons of flavor reviews here at ECF and a wealth of information, so stick to it, you'll get through it like the rest of us and finally enjoy vaping.

just stick with it and order some sample bottles from diff vendors and find that juice you really like.

well i looked on this site for good supplyers and found that many seem to like mad vapes so i went there. the brand of juice is top vapor i got usa mix tobacco, rootbeer,very berry, and spearmint. all had the same horrible undertone. and as i live in canada its kinda costly to keep getting little sample packs. ill try 1 more company but then im going to have to rethink this as the whole idea was to save money while getting healthy. guess that part was too good to be true.lol

It took me 2 Vodka washes, a hot water wash, and a cola wash just to get out the taste from the atties. A bit much IMHO, but now my juices taste great!

Oh and if you are home, forget carts or cartos. Just drip!

Most juice makers sweeten with artificial sweeteners. The ingredient ethyl maltol in some juices is sweet too. I stay away from artificial sweeteners in general. To each his own.

Try Gourmet Vapor. That company allows its customers to create custom flavors in several flavor and nicotine strengths. I ordered six samples to try out for under $30. My order will arrive sometime next week, so I'll post how well I like them then. If you like tropical fruit flavors, volcanoecigs.com has some great flavors. They also sell regular flavors such as RY4, chocolate, strawberry, etc.
