Oh. My. Gosh. YES! In my opinion. I think nicotine is slightly spicy. Some flavors seem to be affected more than others. I've found that I can handle 12mg/mL in my clearomizers, but only 6mg/mL in my RDA.

For me, nothing has been trickier than finding the right nicotine level. My B&M suggested I start at 18mg, but I've found I vape much more than I ever smoked. Different tanks and different wicks also deliver the nicotine differently. So, plenty of variables.

I hope you find what is just right for you.

Happy vaping!

My experience has been 18mg and below, not so much if at all but more than 18mg and yes, there is a profound flavor. Shopping for flavor is one of the toughest parts of vaping if you are new at it, and with 1000's of flavors out there it is a daunting task. If you have a vape shop near by, most will let you try before you buy, if not, try different web site that offer samplers, like Vape Wild and Mount Baker, both offer good sampler packages for a very reasonable price

I am glad you asked this because I was wondering this too. For me it seems to be yes, also wondering if it has anything to do with your body as well. Like if it is too high for you, will you feel an excess of an aversion to the taste and smell as your bodies way of saying "too much". I finally got some equipment that works well, but the cartos and liquid I ordered at 24mg just tasted horrible to me. Even the smell made me feel sick after using it a day. I assumed it was the flavors, maybe that the liquid was low quality. Then I went to the local shop and got some more 24 mg, and same thing. It wasn't until last night when I was "practicing" my technique watching you tube videos lol, that it hit me hard. Made myself sick as hell. Read a little and watched a few videos after, starting to understand that even the headaches and sore throat I used to get once in a while from smoking are probably all signs of too much nicotine lol. So, maybe I am wrong but I think that the combination of me vaping more often and longer than I smoke an analog, and also that I had a bad set to start out with that wasn't working, has decreased the amount of nicotine I actually need, and now I am getting way too much. I don't know if any of this will help you, just some experience from a fellow noob that you may or may not find similar to your own :) I will let you know once I get some lower strength how it turns out :)

Definitely. I've bought some flavors from vendors online after reading reviews and found that most of them had some sort of aftertaste I just didn't like. I'm sure a lot of it had to do with the nic used. I recently started doing some DIY juices so I know the nic base I have is pretty clean. I ordered some new flavors from a new vendor with low nicotine and I'm thinking that if I like them, I can add a little bit of my nic base to boost them to where I need it. I'm hoping a lower nic level will mean I'll get a better sample of their flavors.

Nic adds flavor, good or bad is subjective. Coffee flavored juices aren't very popular with me. I like the flavors but my experience has been premature funky taste and shortened life of coils.
