If you pull apart a head from say a Vivi Nova or a Kanger T3 you will find the bottom pin insulator to be about the same thing that is used around the 510 pin on the VAMO. I have not tried to use one of these as a replacement but by appearance it seems it would be a close cousin if not the same.

And they don't even know that really they are turning buyers off from buying a provari. I won't ever buy one because I am sick of the fanboys coming over to every non provari thread

I hate when ppl come on the vamo forum trolling and always suggesting to buy a provari, why are you here i bet you don't own a vamo.

Agree mgmrick i would not buy one either sure the provari is nice, but these fanboys and fangirls make it out as the only good mod out there. If there where better quality control the vamo would be a better mod by a long mile than the provari that just my opinion i'm sure not everyone agrees.

Just wanted to let everyone know that if returning isn't an option or you want different solution check out this thread on the ecig subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/comments/17ai9i/low_ohm_reading_on_vamo/c83uj18

I just did this and it works like a charm. Doesn't look like there's gonna be any way the pin is gonna get pushed back in. I will say that it does cause the atty to have a small gap and you can't tighten it all the way, but it's better than having to constantly fish the pin out.

Just wanted to say KUDO's for passing this along, this was exactly the issue I was having and will be doing this as I just adjusted the center connection with the existing white gasket until I can get to Home Depot!

Thanks so much, this helped me out big time!

I just got a new Vamo and have found it won't fire nor stay on with 18350 batteries. New and fully charged Trustfire 3.7v. It comes on very shortly but won't fire and turns off evidently... nothing lights. Loosing the cap works briefly the same way. Breaking battery contact and reinserting... same thing. Its in there tight... no rattling. But it works fine with 18650 battery.

Edit: I did a thread on this but will add what I said there.

I watched a video (link on the new thread) where the Vamo was set to 7.0 watts and that solved the 18350 problem. Either that or my battery was manufactured slightly off or something and I just happened to insert it just right. Dunno until I get another 18350 or I might change the wattage back down and see if that recreates the problem. Anyway, changing wattage is worth a try when 18350s aren't working.

Get some decent quality IMR batteries. And if the Trustfires aren't IMR don't use them. And ditto to what meatsneakers said.
