I have just started to rebuild coils, and have ran into an issue with the aerotank mega. The head won't pull apart ( being the stem coming off the base cup). Can anybody please tell me what's up with that?

Rock the stem from side to side to separate.

I don't have the mega, but it looks like it's the same basic design as the regular. I know from experience some of the tops are harder than others to remove. What I tend to do is screw the coil into the base and use the base as leverage to help pull the top off....

They are made to be disposable, so expect to lose a few in the re-building process...

Or 3m double sided tape like the kind you find at autozone (or similar) stores. Works awesome for when my kayfun and Russian pieces won't budge and it's time to rebuild.
