Stingray X clone with a v4 orchid ,
Stuck on at the top. The orchid will unscrew right above the airholes and the Stingray will separate down to the top threading of the stingray .
Any ideas suggestions to get them apart? I tried the lil rubberband and pliers but nothing but the rubberband s gonna break.

Just bought both. Was messimg around trying to get used to the firing magnet..it seemed like it was sticking
Anyway hear I am now.
There's gotta be away to get apart without taking pliers to the actual metal..

Ill check out the now extensive orchid thread .
Cheers Bassnorma.

LOL...the freezer was to shrink the metal and loosen the threads...the towel was to avert scuff marks...Can you take a pic so I can see your wicking?orchidwick1.jpg

There is my Orchid wicked...with some dark juice.

You do want the wick pressed into the juice channels, unlike a Kayfun. Also, is the chimney screwed on properly?

I was thinking the same thing, was hoping this morning would go a little better. Nope still leaky Orchid .
Everything else is in check tho...Kayfun never pushed clouds like this before. I swear i can never get even close to the same results when I 're wick my coils. Every time every juice. Chalk it up as still learning (I guess) cause my Aspire BVC'S taste YUMMY!!

Whats the trick with the chimney?
I believe its on correct. When ever I try to leave tails in the channels id have super hard time getting chimney on top ..eventually ended up stripping the threads on my first Orchid v2 .

This one does seem much better...still quirky tho . Very hard to get full to top. Ill think its full then juice will settle and its not even covering the window. Weird little thing. Clouds are insane tho when its working. So Yummy. Cant even use mint/menthol in it.....way to strong. Eyes water lol

You have to trim the tails so that they are skinny enough to not bulge out into the threading area.....

(sent from Mars, it's not as red as I imagined.)

I would check all of the orings to make sure that they are there and not fouled up.

My bad I should have mentioned i swapped them out for new ones before I filled up.

Man I swear I can watch the juice disappear as I take a vape. Holy .... this thing is a beast.
If i ever get a full tank Id like to run it on the Evic counter see how vapes out of an orchid compared to a Nautilus or better yet a kanger sun ohm coil. *not a kanger fan I jumped off there wagon after protank 2 lol piece o JUNK! IMO
Cheers Bassnorma☺ any tips much appreciated!! Been vaping since 2012 but just got into non regulated mech mods and rebuildables. Got into the watts race with Evic Supreme and an ipv v2. Loving this Stingray clone lol 125$ cheaper then my evic and I think she looks nicer and puts out better

Orchid Kayfun Etc. All work the same.
Leaking can be from:
Not enough Wicking
Wicks set wrong
Seal failure

Not much else going on.

I use Rayon wicks and do NOT fill the channels. I do use a good amount of wicking and trim to fit snugly over the channels.
Coils set about 2mm above the deck.

Always remove your drip tip and check the upper o-ring as you tighten the tank. The chimney needs to slip smoothly through.

Popping and crackling is normal to a minimal extent right? I've read heard people say yay or nay but never seen a solution. Either seems to happen or not.
I actually got my first bvc coil that was popping crackling a tad on me....

It's fine...but it is usually a wicking thing.

So with the orchid has anyone tried inserting the chimney in the top seal then screwing the top over the deck?
I saw suggestions on not tightening the chimney all the way to deck, I tried that and it seems to screw itself down.
I was thinking of trying the inserting it upside down then I dont think the chimney would touch the deck at same timr as leaving snug fit up top....
