I was given a Vamo to me by a friend Yesterday.

We had a few troubles with it saying "Check Atomizer" and "Low Load" but after changing a few heads about and adjusting the screw, it was working and we left it at that.

Today I go to use it and when I went to fire it, it just displayed "0.8 ohms" on the LED screen. Sometimes it went to 0.7 up to 1.2. After an hour of googling forum's I found NOTHING. I went to check the Vamo again and it just said "Check Atomizer".

So after another good hour adjusting the screw to make contact with the head, it finally stopped saying "Check Atomizer", instead it said, "Low Load". So after searching forums once again, I found it was something to do with the head being too tight. So i loosened the screw slightly again and I finally managed to get 1 single toke from it (I also noticed the Ohms went back up to 2.1).

And from then after it has displayed "Low V", if i hold the left button, it displays "3.7V" if I hold the right button it displays "Check Atomizer". I have a fully charged battery in.

I literally cannot find a single post that offers any fix for this, other than purchasing a new washer, but that was for the Low Load issue.

I must say before I get any replies. I know literally NOTHING about E-cigs. I don't have a clue about any of the technical jargon or attachment names. I don't even know what Vamo series I have.

But from what I can see so far, they're absolutely USELESS!:(

Thanks for any help provided.

Yes, it would be good to know what atomizer you have - even if you can only describe it.

A couple of other possibilities:

  1. You are screwing the atomizer down too tight on the Vamo and pushing the Vamo's pin down too far
  2. The pin has some dirt or juice on it and needs to be cleaned
Let us know and we'll try to help

They mean, what tank do you have on it? Some tanks give trouble with connection problems. Kanger tanks sometimes get loose at the base. Open your tank and make sure the coil (the metal tube screwed into the bottom) is tight. Vamo pins sometimes get compressed. Take the battery out and see lightly pry up on the pin (the center part where the tank screws on). Make sure there isn't juice in the hole where the tank screws on. Clean it with a q-tip. Don't screw the tank really tight on a vamo. Just snug. Sound like a connection problem to me.

Starting of with an advanced personal vaporizer ( APV) can certainly be frustrating if you don't have an understanding of the basics and an owners manual or know the version of the vamo to find one online.

Some versions won't fire certain resistances, it will say check atty if the resistance is too low. It will also say check atty if the insulator under the positive pin in the 510 connection of the vamo is being crushed, missing, or is worn out, this causes intermittent shorts the vamo see's as shorts tripping the protection circuitry.
It would be helpful for us to know what delivery device / topper / thing you screw on top of the vamo that you put e liquid in you are trying to use.
If you don't know a picture would help or browse a few online vape stores to find a match.
Have you tried a different delivery device to rule out it as the problem.

I am literally banging my head on the table. Thank you guys for taking out your time to help a noob like me.

Right, I'm currently trying to unscrew the bottom of the atomiser/head, but it's not shifting at all.

You are technically correct - we're using the term loosely to include the whole head - see, you know the lingo pretty well! :)

OK - the Nautilus comes in 1.6ohm and 1.8 ohm resistances - you probably have a 1.6 ohm, so it's not your Nautilus that's causing the problem unless it's a defective head.

Due to you saying that the Vamo is showing varying messages about the resistance (ohms), I'd still guess that it's the center connection between the Vamo and the Nautilus.

Turn the Vamo off by pressing the fire button rapidly 5 times.

Try taking a small screwdriver or other really small instrument and slipping it down between the wall and the center pin of the Vamo and GENTLY prying the pin up just a little.

Them screw the Nautilis back on, but only until it's "hand tight". don't really wrench it down, and see if that helps.
