Please recommend a good tank carto!

I have a Phiniac xl tank and I absolutely have fallen in love with it. My only problem is finding a good carto to pair with it. I want to punch my own and have been doing so with very limited success. I am punching exactly as Phiniac suggest using the punch that they sell in the tank kit they sell. I bought 4 packs of Boge cartos and I hate them and feel that it was a huge waste of money. I know that many people have been having problems with these cartos and I pretty much have the same problem. Bad taste, duds, flooding and most of the ones that do work don't even last a day. Is there any carto out there (punched or unpunched) that is made specifically for tanks the size of the xl? Thanks for any help guys, for now I'm going back to dripping.

I prefer using single coil Ikenvape or Smoktek tank replacement carto's that are laser-drilled with two holes. I've used the same Phiniac carto punch tool as yourself and was disappointed with the results. I personally believe that pre-punched carto's provide me with more consistancy, carto to carto, than when I attempted to punch my own. Using these just avoids the human error factor of self punching that seems to plague so many cartotank users, in my opinion.

What ohm resistance are you using with your carto's? What device are you using and at what voltage?

When filling the carto's I use the fill from the top method. I plug the airhole with a wooden toothpick to avoid getting unwanted liquid in it. I drip liquid in until the polyfill looks like a wet slushy drink.

I also highly recommend getting the Slap-Yo-Momma tank tool from Big Daddy Vapor. Using this tool protects your tanks o-rings during carto insertion and also cuts down the time it takes to fill up the tank.

The cartos are 3 ohm. I'm using a zmax at 8 watts. I did go back and double punch one and it seems to be vaping alot better. The only reason I didn't double punch before is because I had read that it just makes it more likely to flood. I will try as you have suggested and thanks for the very informative response.

I second the motion for IKV cartos. I spent a year with Boge's, but now that they are crap so I only buy from iKenvape. Also the Slap Yo Mama is an invaluable accessory, as is this carto puncher Aluminium Cartomizer Punch V4 - Cartomizers/Tanks - Accessories I've tried about 5 different carto punchers, but that one is the hands down best. Plus it's great for punching the XL's. Good luck!

+1 on IKV. Just like a lot of people, i used to use Boges but have now switched to Ikenvapes.
