I bought my husband a Cig2O kit at the local smoke shop while waiting on my joye 510t to arrive and it came with the standard tobacco flavor. We also bought the coffee and grape flavor carts. The first few puffs taste ok but then it just gets nasty. It is not burnt "cart is empty nasty" just really gross tasting with a bad aftertaste. For a first ecig experience it sucks!

I did read a review that the cig2o carts are pretty gross (after i bought them) but wondering how much better i can expect things to get with the eliquid? I did order him so new carts for his (I think its the kr808) so we should be able to refill his as well as mine with hopefully better flavors.

I ordered from litecig and got the High caliber pillowmint, peach, blueberry frost and strawberry cheesecake then the other brand they have in dr. pep, cool menthol, grape and the camel tobacco one. Are any of these awesome?

Also need some suggestions on other places to order eliquid from. any suggestions? Thanks!

I haven't tried the Cig2O to be able to compare, but if you experiment a bit with different batteries, atomizers, and e-liquids, it is possible to make your vape taste like whatever you'd like. There's a bit of a learning curve, but if you don't enjoy vaping more than you enjoy smoking, you just haven't found the right combination of hardware and e-liquid yet. If you can't find or afford the vape that you like better than smoking, you can try to Do It Yourself. Building your own mod or mixing your own e-liquid are surprisingly simple ways to create exactly the combination of flavor, vapor, throat hit, and ease of use that you would like.

As to where to try e-liquids? You'll get plenty of recommendations, but I'm currently loving EVERY flavor I've tried from Pink Spot: Pink Spot, Blu Spot, G-Spot, P.S. I Love You (Yumyumyum!), Jamaican Me Crazy, HopScotch, and Bikini Martini. I'm also a big fan of Nhaler's line of "Octane High Voltage" juices ("Signature Tobacco" is the only tobacco flavor I've tried and liked enough to vape all day), along with PureSmoker's Tonic, and E-liquidPlanet's Essence line...They use a different formulation that gives a very pleasant "throat hit" even at lower nicotine strengths.

I would say most of the smoke shop kits I have tried have almost a stale cig taste to me. That might be what you are tasting. I think when you get your joye in you will be much happier.

As far as good juice vendors there is alot. I would go to the e liquid discussions on here and read up on them. So far some of my favorite vendors are. Alien Visions E-Juice Gourmet Vapor Johnson Creek Original Smoke Juice - The Best E-Liquid in the World - Made Right Here in America CRYSTAL CLEAR VAPING this place is local

Good luck and welcome

I would say that not all E-Liquids are that bad. The prefilled carts I got with my starter kit, while not gross tasting, were nearly flavorless, although they had a slightly funky aftertaste. I just received an E-Liquid order from Freedom Smokes USA today, and the flavor on those are absolutely terrific. I think I've vaped more in the 3 hours I've been home from work tonight, then I have since I got my starter kit on Wednesday.

So like has been mentioned, don't let one bad experience ruin it for you. You can normally pick up small sample bottles for pretty cheap, so pick out a few and try them out.

Hope this helps!

I don't know much about the e-cig you got from the 'store' but I once got an e-cig off the shelf when I was holidaying in Malaysia and it was awful. I haven't heard of the one you've got so I am guessing it's a brand that is not all too popular.

You will do much better with the Joye product and the Litecigs liquids are not too bad at all.

As someone else put it - if your e-cig experience is not BETTER than your analog experience then you haven't found the right set up. In most cases, when a person finds the right set up, they lose all desire for cigarettes (most of the time) because of how enjoyable vaping is.

I would highly recommend FreedomsmokeUSA.com as a good source of liquids with a big range of liquids. The purecig liquid at Freedomsmoke is very close to a real cigarette and might be a good starting point for a recently quit smoker trying to capture the smoking experience in an e-cig.

The other suppliers listed above are good too especially Alien Visions. You cannot go wrong with the Bobba's Bounty or the Gorilla Juice (which is really just Bobba's Bounty with banana flavour). However these flavours are so popular they are sometimes out of stock because the vendors can't keep supply up with demand.

If you want cheap reliable liquids that taste a lot like cigarettes try Rocky Mountain Vapor. They stock a Chinese brand of liquid that until a year ago supplied 80-90% of the world market with liquid. try the Hilton, Marlboro and DK-Tab.

The other thing I would highly recommend in hardware is getting some Low Resistance atomizers which will burn a bit hotter and give you more throat hit and vapor but make sure you drip directly into the atomizer every 10 or so puffs to keep them wet or you might get a harsh taste. Low resistance atomizers enhance the whole vaping experience a great deal.

Good luck!

I don't recommend Alien Visions in cartomizers. I find thin juices give me the best wicking and reuse of cartos - try thin juices first than you can experiment with thick ones (so you will know what is wrong if it works badly).

The High Caliber juices you got should be good but anything else you got at LiteCig is probably Chinese Dekang PG juices - some of the Dekang tobacco flavors are Ok (I like the RY4, a sweet caramel vanilla tobacco) but to me the Chinese fruit flavors taste like sticking your tongue in a packet of Koolaid. If you want better juices then buy them at juice makers, not at hardware vendors.

I believe Cig2o and Cig2go are KR808D-1 and if that is correct then you can use prefilled and blank cartomizers from Vapor4Life (I think their fruit and some others flavors are overdone but there are some flavors I love), SmokelessImage, Bloogplanet (try some from one place first or a single prefilled carto from Vapesafe to make sure that is your model). Those should all be soft caps you can add more juice to. I use the Vapor4Life WOW blanks which can be hot sometimes and I use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece only, instead of the white end cap. You can use any other KR808D-1 blanks for KR808D-1 as long as they are not less than 2.6ohm or so.

My own experience is that thin clear juices give me the longest good performance out of a stuffing-type cartomizer. 20% or less VG, light clear colors that leave little or no flavoring sediment. But cartos are disposable items and only some people succeed and cleaning and drying and resurrecting a reasonable number of them, so don't count on it. I only put juices I know I like into cartos and I use the same or similar juice in it until the carto tastes bad or drags badly and then I throw it in a bag in case I am ever desperate enough to try cleaning them (which has not happened). To test juices I use a manual battery only with an atomizer and drip tip - either a KR808D-1 manual w/ DSE901 standard resistance (not LR) atomizer and 901 drip tip, or a manual 510 w/ Joye 306 atomizer and 306 drip tip.

I'm sorry that happened. So many of us bought the expensive little ecig kits and got burnt plastic or just gross taste. You'll find juice sooo yummy that you'll want to lick it off your fingers (not advised). Juice is the hardest part. Invest some time in the supplier threads. You'll notice several companies have throngs of fans. Also watch the classifieds for which juices sell fast that might be a fit for you. Try small sample sizes. Call and ask what the best-sellers are. Good luck to you. Hang in there!

I had the same problem when I first started with my 901...after some reading and testing out different fillers I was able to dial it in...Although I think the days of using coffee filters and pyramid tea bags are over :)

I remember those days.....we'd do anything to great great flavor and vapor.

Yeah its pretty stale tasting and at this point i am making myself use them instead of my real camels :) however that said im on day 2 and usually smoke 1 1/2 pks a day and ive smoked 9 today. So an improvement. I want to LOVE vaping and the cartomizers that came with these cig2os are simply terrible. I am absolutely confident that once i get something that doesnt make me dry heave i will be able to quit the camels completely. My husband and I are sharing his kit until mine gets in and so far so good with the actual equipment.

Is having 2 types of ecigs going to be more frustration then i can handle in the long run? I am guessing i will end up buying him a 510t and trying to get my mother to switch to these with his first kit.

This will eventually save me money right? lol I typically spend almost 300$ a mth for the both of us to smoke. been dishing it out the last few days on all this new stuff though :)

One last question.. one of the major reasons i want to quit the real smokes is because of my daughter. I dont want her breathing that crap in. The vapor from my ecigs is safe for her to be around? I know to keep the supplies up and way from her but she is almost 8 so pretty good at staying out of stuff.

Thanks so much for the fantastic advice so far!

Vapor still has nicotine in it. But it's much much safer than cigarette smoke.

And remember to smell the vapor - only part of the flavor is the taste. A lot is in the aroma. The tongue can only taste sweet, salty, butter, sour and umami (msg). With vapor, everything else is aroma since vapor has no visual or texture clues like food does.

Agreed! Pink Spot is my favorite juice supplier. In the past week I've gotten 2 sample packs as well as 4 20ml bottles and I adore them all. The vapor is outstanding on each and every one as well!

Also extremely high on my list is Snickerdoodle Cookies from Ms. T's Bakery (OMG that's good stuff!!!!)

KickBassVapors has awsome fruitish style flavors in my (and many others) opinion.... I havent tried any mints from them yet though. Ive tried a cheesecake or two..... it just didnt do it..... I love me some cheesecake and I think that might be why it sucks to vape it.... just a little disapointing.....Ide try it again though if it were from KBV.
