Advice needed from a more experienced "Bodger" please.
Mods that use re-chargeable NiMh/NiCad batteries need those batteries charged on a regular (maybe daily) basis. Now that requires removal from the mod, charging and replacement. I want to wire into a mod a standard 2.1mm DC power socket in parallel with the battery pack so each night the mod itself is simply plugged into a charger and removal of batteries is not needed.Nowthe mods batteries (1.2v AAA NiMh) are wired in two packs, each containing 4 batteries in series and the two packs then wired to each other in parallel to give 6volts at the atomizer from all 8 batteries (this has proved a serious vape monster).
Heres the question.
Universal NiMh/NiCad chargers tend to allow for the simultaneous charging of typically 4 AAA or AA batteries-each battery having a seperate position in the charger. Now if I open up the charger and run a fly lead (ending in a 2.1mm DC power plug) off the transformer output will this suffice as my new charging option for the above packs without battery removal or will I need a charger (maybe a mains driven transformer outputing 6volts/lowish mAh).
Many thank's in advance...........a totally mad moder.
