Hello everyone,

I'm looking to try pluid for the first time and would like to cut the 20mg/ml strength down to ~10. On the vendor's website, it says very clearly that, while they sell pluid "cutter" to mix with, one can instead cut with pure vg as pluid is such a potent and intense flavor to begin with. From the site: "Half cut Pluid is commonly known as "reduced strength". So by adding pure PG/VG you can decide the amount of flavor you want and what nicotine concentration suits you the best. Also by cutting the juice down to 10mg/ml you get twice as much Pluid."

and so, it is my understanding that I could simply add 20 ml or pure vg to 20ml of pluid for a 10mg mix, higher in vg (my personal preference) without too much flavor loss. This seems to be unique to pluid. Is that right? Does anyone here have any experience cutting pluid with pure pg/vg instead of their nicotine-free cutter? Thoughts?

Thanks much in advance!

Pluid cutter is basically 0mg Pluid. So if you use the cutter you can drop the nic level without effecting the way it tastes. Cutting it with plain VG or a PG/VG mix would not only reduce the nic level but would also impact the taste of the juice. It could unbalance the way the juice tastes, it would be like making your own Pluid-lite.

exactly, yes. I don't want to buy the cutter because then I'm gambling $40 total. I thought that it was a peculiar suggestion on their part to say to mix with pure vg; but, on the other hand, I've heard it said that pluid is SO strong that the difference in flavor is marginal. Im just curious as to whether or not anyone here has experience with making their own "pluid-lite", as you dubbed it.

I vape Pluid, thought about cutting it down when I first started as it does knock you to the back seat with first experience but after a while I can't imagine cutting it down. Part of its magic is in its potency.

If you're going to cut it down I'd suggest starting with maybe 75/25 instead of jumping right to 50/50. Can always cut it down more.

Well, I actually like black licorice once in awhile ... The problem is that I bought a bottle of black licorice juice from another retailer awhile back, and it was so strong that I just couldn't gag it down. I tried mixing it with some other juice I had, but it ruined that juice too ... so I finally just dumped it.

No more experimenting with anything that is flavored with black licorice, anise, or tastes like Anisette or Greek Ouzo .... just too overpowering for me (at least to vape).

I cut mine with VG to a 50/50 mix and love it that way! It's way to strong for me when it's not cut.

Is this to say that pluid is primarily pg? I think I remember reading it. So, just to clarify: you cut it with pure VG? Add, say, 30 mils of VG to 30 mils of pluid; or do you mean that the final VG/pg ratio ends up at 50:50? Thanks a lot everyone!

When I first bought Pluid, they only had 20mg in stock, so I got cutter too to make it 10mg. I tried full strength just to make sure, but cutting it in half with cutter tasted exactly the same to me. Now they have 10mg (which I just received two bottles of, woohoo!) Freaking love this stuff, vaped on it all weekend.

Where do you see this? I still only see 20mg option...

If you've never tried it before then it's really hard to explain just HOW STRONG it really is. Even cutting it 50/50 with VG isn't going to affect it in a negative way, IMO. It's still plenty strong and has tons of flavor, because it has an insane amount of flavor to begin with. And I do mean insane. It's seriously THE strongest most potent flavored juice I've ever had. Also, once it touches your glass tank/atomizer/cartomizer, don't plan on using that device for anything else ever again, unless you want to be constantly tasting pluid along with every other flavor you put in there. It is definitely a tank tainter.

Just my $0.02
