I have played with the plume quite a bit as I do a lot of builds for my friends B&M shop, 26gauge quad-coil setup 9 wraps a piece on the little blue handled atty screwdriver wicked with Japanese cotton thru both coils instead of all 4 individually it is a .22 build and wow is it a chucking beast. The best build I've ever done on it was a 24 gauge dual sleeper coil 10 wraps a piece it was a 0.18 build if memory serves me correctly and a Royal P.I.T.A to build but well worth the efforts the guy vaped that build for 5 months before having me rebuild it for him. Here is a little pointer if you are going to run a dual coil setup in these things when putting the coils in use the further away positive hole and stretch the negative lead a bit this will help center the coil in the deck some which will help with airflow across the coil and it also for some reason seems to produce better flavor and amounts of vapor not sure why but it does. I take the cotton and tuck the ends back against the negative posts allowing for the bottom of the coil to get equal air exposure and find that helps with flavor and vapor production if you have to much cotton in the deck I find it stifles the coil and doesn't perform as nicely.

Once I get some thicker wire I may play around with the quad and the sleeper you spoke about. I ended up settling with dual parallel coils, 28ga wrapped 6 times on each. How did the quad perform as far as flavor?
My wife was too excited for Christmas so we decided to each open one gift now instead of on Christmas Eve. She's due with our second child in a couple of weeks so what she wants, she gets [emoji2].

I've had some time to play with my PV lately, and it's been living up to the name!

0.441 ohms, 26ga, 2mm inner diameter, coils practically shorting out on the top as they're so close to the air hole. Judging by the pic and my memory, it was an 8/7 wrap.

Wicked with rayon, like always. A little goes a long way! Just a nice simple contact coil, incredibly dense, cool vapor. Best build near 0.5 I've ever had.
Where did you get that ohm reader? I have a regular black one, but I really that the translucent green.

Really great place called, as far as I can tell, USA ohm meters. A little pricier (not by much) than many on the market, but seriously worth it. Reads down to the 1000th (if you're under 1 ohm), and seems quite accurate. All props to AMDtrucking for making them known to me.

ETA: Oh yeah, linky linky

I love my plume veil. I get good results with 28g. 2 strands twisted really tight wrapped around a 2.5mm bit 5 wraps come in around 0.7-0.8. I can't be bothered with dual coils. Allot more effort for not much more performance IMO.
More recently iv been adding 2 extra wraps getting the coil to 1 ohm and running on the istick at 4.2v (istick is over powered so ads .2-.3v ish) and that's a nice warm flavoursome vape.

24 gauge kanthal at .5 ohms was too hot, everything I dripped on it tasted the same - burned! Did another build on my Plume Veil with the same Kanthal, this time, ten wraps running at 0.7 ohms. While I still get plenty of vapor, the taste was ......:D I FINALLY GET WHY PEOPLE LOVE MECHS & RDA's! JMHO

The Plume Veil is one of the best Christmas gifts I ever got!
