Plume Veil screws turning red over time?

Ok so my juice is clear 50/50 blend 0mg nic.
Plume Veil is cloned by acerig
I put a new set of cotton last night and when i checked this morning, there were 3 red spots out of 4 on top of the screws.
I threw it out and landed on a piece of paper. An hour later i noticed that the cotton was white again and seems like the red thing transfered to the paper or probably spread and leaving a very feint red.
Whats the reason for this? I already tried searching but can't seem to find an answer. When i washed the rda i dont see any red spots on the screws or anywhere on the rda

I had this happen once in my asMODus! It's the juice. The sweetener elements "caramelize" (not really, but they undergo a chemical change) that causes the color. Nicotine also causes this, but your juice is 0mg.

Maybe thats why, but then after washing it earlier, i realized that this happened now. Lol

I'm not sure if I'm looking at your pic correctly but the same thing happened to a couple of my clone attys. I found out that the screws were not galvanized stainless steel so that red color that kept showing up on the top of my screws and on parts of the wick were actually RUST. I ended up going online and buying replacement screws for my atty and it seems fine now. I hope that helps you out.

Not seeing the issue here.

(Aside: What kinda coil is that!? Aha it's huuuuuge. 30 ga parallel?)

haha its a 4 strand 14 wrap coil on 28g kanthal x) i tried dual coils but i found Rip Tripper's video of this beast coil and i i really like it alot, i don't have to use 1 positive and 1 negative post and still get thick clouds and flavor! It's at 0.6 ohm which is perfect for me.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's rust. You could go to your local hardware store and find some replacements or you can also try radio shack if you got um up there, but I got mine from v3tronix.com and yes their in the states so I'm guessing you'll have to fork out more money for shipping and what not. Good luck

why would it be rust. they are all coated with something, eliquid is oil it should protect from rust. I have never had a atty rust anywhere. What juice are you using, when you vape it concentrated the flavoring from vaporizing it, I think that may be condensation from the flavoring in your juice.

Or I could be wrong

There is some water in all juices and that can cause rust.

I'm pretty sure it's rust or at least something that has to do with the screws. Some of this stuff comes out of china. The exact same thing happened to me and I changed out the screws and no more reddish screws for me. I looked all over the inter web and seen a lot of people having the same problems. You my friend, must have awesome or authentic attys... I'm jealous cause 2/3 of the attys I get from local B&M's have this problem. I really wish they would just standardize the screws sizes. It would be much easier to get replacements.
