Anyone own the poldiac clones from fastech wondering if they work good. I want a side button mech with a flush style button the finish doesnt matter. The bottom buttons starting to give me painful cramps my hand doesnt wanna work in that position these days. Im also open to other tube style in the criteria i mentioned not alot of options i know. I dont use super low builds .4 pretty much lowest i got other mods for anything below that. Price $50ish not much to work with but im only looking for a clone so should be a decent range to work with.

This post is, to me, more interesting for the information left unsaid... than that which is given.

"The bottom buttons starting to give me painful cramps my hand doesnt wanna work in that position these days."

What mod are you using that does this... and how are you holding it/firing it? What is the throw travel and how much button pressure?
I've broken my hands so many times that I'm able to use only my middle finger for firing... yet bottom button mods are all I own.

"Im also open to other tube style in the criteria i mentioned not alot of options i know. I dont use super low builds .4 pretty much lowest i got other mods for anything below that. Price $50ish not much to work with but im only looking for a clone"

Most side button clones, right out of the box, don't have terrific button conductivity, and require a bit of work to obtain a low enough voltage drop to fire 0.4Ω net resistance reliably... without the occasional hot button / Joule heating issues.

If the FT clones are your device of choice, get one of the two highest priced, "best available" versions... and stay away from the lowest price / quality models. Be prepared to "fine tune" the button elements for maximum contact/conductivity, as well as button throw and pressure. Quick note... the FT Guppy clone is pretty much crap.

Another option, and one I recommend most for a side button inquiry... is to save up and get a genuine Atmizoo "Uni-tube" Lab, Guppy or Dingo. They are, for the dollar, perhaps the best side button mod you can get.

I have wierd hands i have a few boxer fractures they will lock up in certain positions and it hurts bad doc says its arthritis but im only 35 i dont believe it. I guess thats the answer ill deal with untill i look into it further at a specailist. I have a sting ray clone its spring button (should of bought more exspensive one) causing me the issues my hand just doesnt like it after a few fires maybe the button to stiff for my hand the pressure seems to be the culprit. I fire with ring finger as its most comfortable. I can fire it left hand no problem but im right handed and it just feels wrong. My box mods its fine no hand issue but im kinda bored of them lately looking for something more stylish. Maybe a easier throw button on bottom fire mod. If there any tube mods that have a easy throw i just started getting into tube style so havent had alot of experience with the different types of buttons. The side button just seemed most logical but im open to opinions of the more experienced.

Ah well... I'm afraid there aren't any clone mods I can suggest that, from my personal experience, don't require throw and pressure adjustments for the button... side or bottom.

Pick up a Poldiac clone from FT and give it a try... might be perfect for your needs, or may require a bit of tuning. Either way, you're not out much.

Are magnetic easier than a spring i would think they are but never had one to try out.

I guess i better save up for the authentic instead of spending the same in the end buying clone after clone not finding them to my liking.

Hi Fellow Vapers,

I wanted a side button that sits flush and finally decided on the Aspire CF Mod.

I have had this mod for 3 months now and it works absolutely wonderful. It uses a single 18650 battery and button changes color when battery getting

low. If you are wondering on the button issues on the poldiac clones then this mod I have would be a consideration.

Just my observation... Keep On Vaping----your friend thetrucker

I do.
I really should try and fix mine; it's a promising design; if you're interested in modding it it's workable.

The metal piece that you have to press seems to be glued on; mine has come off eventually, but it still works with the metal press piece off; there's a jacket around the button which can tend to get in the way; I took the jacket off.

If you are using a recessed bottom switch, I could understand how you feel; the non-recessed common ones are easier on the fingers, then I've seen at least 1 mod which is recessed most of the way around but has a space where you can press with your finger from the side.
