The plastic from plastic water bottle will slowly seeps into the water if that water has been stored in the plastic container for too long, if anyone is using a tank made of Polycarbonate, are you worried at all ?

Personally I have been using iClear 30s, which is a tank made out of Polycarbonate, and typically, i will just keep refilling the tank, so before the tank is completely empty, i will refill it again to a certain amount and continue vaping, which means that some of the e-liquid will be in the container for a long time.

I do really enjoy my iclear 30s though, but i guess i should probably find a clearomizer that's better made T_T

Plastic will inevitably leech a little, but you are constantly running juice through it so I don't think it will be a problem for you, unless you let it sit for long periods of time with no use but filled up. Washing every now and then could help if you are getting some flavor change though.

I do think it's always good to have a nice glass clearomizer though - even if just to use juices that will crack the plastic ones and to avoid flavor leech from plastic.

If only for peace of mind - I stick to glass and steel setups exclusively.

When it comes to xenoestrogen, I rather try to avoid it than rely on FDAs word on what is considered a safe daily dosage. All within reason, of course. I don't want another potential (!) source if it's strictly speaking easily avoidable. Besides I won't have to worry about tank crackers and getting a plasticy flavor. Which I sometimes did.

I have no scientific backing for these opinions. It's just a choice I made.

Yeah, all of my gear is glass or steel, aside from my new orchid. I mostly use drippers anyway. Was just passing along the information.

BTW the thermal paper receipts give off a lot more BPA if you happen to have recently used products on your hands like hand sanitizer.

I prefer glass or stainless just because I do use "tank cracking" juice. All my plastic tanks (from years ago before glass was available) did become fogged, etched, or cracked over time.

Here is a great resource regarding "tank cracking" eliquid by ECF member Baditude: Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

Make sure to open all his links! Two of those links are:

* A blog post by ECF member The Ocelot titled "EEEKKK it's Melting".
* A "HUGE" list of juice and flavorings that may cause problems as far as cracking, fogging, or etching polycarbonate tanks (compiled by ECF member my4jewels).

I use both glass and pc tanks. The pc tanks will wear out over time and leak, crack, discolor, or cloud so it's not like most people are gonna use one for years, you just toss it and get a new one. We often use pc long use water bottles and pitchers and many other things also but I don't concern myself with my Brita pitcher waters quality due to the pitcher being pc, it's just not something I worry about.
