Fluval is "marineland", or "fluval" brand. Its in the fish tank filter section of the pet store, but not at walmarts or meijers etc. The white stuff is fluval brand, water polishing pad, for 304/305 filter. The Blue fluval is Marineland brand, Bonded foam sleeve, rite size U. "fits all H.O.T Magnum canister filters".Those come in packs of 3. Those are the 2 commonly used items. Usually 2 feet from each other in aqarium isle of your local petsmart. I think teh blue stuff is like 8 bucks..the white is like 5, or vice/versa. But one package will last 6 months EASY.
Polyfil comes in bags the size of a small pillow at every store, for like 2 bucks. But its not used much anymore because its so fiberous, and those tiny fibers love to stick to bridges and drift onto coils.

Some of Walmart's polyfill is treated with fire resistant chemicals. You don't want that in your atty! Read the fine print on the label. Some have warnings that the material is flammable and other have a notice that they are approved by the State of California to be used in bedding and children's toys and bedding. You want the one the warns you that it IS flammable. That one is not treated with fire resistant chemicals. The atty temp is not high enough to ignite it anyway.

I agree that fluval is better for standard standard atties. Mega atties may work better with polyfill due to their diameter. Fluval may leak or not wick as well in mega atties.

Does Walmart sell polyfill, or maybe a craft store?
If so, is it the same stuff we use for vaping?

I know stores sell fluval so can you tell me what brand/type to get.

I need both so....thank you!

Don't get it! I did and after about 6 hits it starts to taste really bad! It's not really the same.

about 2 months ago, i started dripping... LOL. that always sounds so funny to say out loud. only on ECF can someone say that without having to prove that they are not communicable... anyway, i should have started sooner. how nice it is not having to worry about new carts or getting fill. i figured; "i'm carrying a bottle of juice anyway... why not drip?".
back on topic... if you like standard carts and want to save a few bucks by refilling them yourself, i recommend Fluval. since it is used in aquarium filters (and fish are kinda sensitive) it's clean and durable. it's also pretty cheap. you can grab it for about 5 bucks at a Petsmart or other chain. any local fish place will have it too. there's plenty of stuff on you tube about refilling e-cig carts with fluval. Good Luck!
