I really like the Cisco LR for the flavor & vapor they deliver.
I cannot tolerate pg, so I use diluted VG.
I've heard that LR atty's are tough on ego batteries.
Does it make a difference if I go to the 1100 ego? (less strain on the batts?)
I don't want that big batt if I don't need it.
I've only blown 2 so far & I'm a fairly heavy vapor.
Or would I be better off investing in a different model?
I ask because I'm getting ready to stock up, & want to make the wisest investment.

I've only used boge LR cartos with my 900 mah ego since I got it. I've pretty much used just the one battery (I keep the 2nd as a spare), but it's only been a couple of months. Not too bad though.

I use 2.0 Boge cartos and 1.5 Dual Coil cartos on my 650 & 900 Egos and 750 Riva. The Riva's are about 5 months old and no problems.

There are much better sources than myself for your answer but until one of them sees and responds to your question I will give a basic response. If you're using a LR on a true Joye Ego, the bigger battery shouldn't do anything but give you a longer use time between charges. Their supplied current is regulated and begins relatively low but stays fairly consistent during the use time between charges.

Where we need a real experienced user is if you are refering to the "ego clone" batteries. Take the Riva SE (my favorite of the clones). They use a so called "true 3.7 volts". All that means is that unlike the actual Joye Ego, the Riva SE as well as several SLB models, charge up to their 4.2 volts (nominally) and when you use it fresh off the charger, you do get that actual voltage.

Over the life of the clone charge cycle, that 4.2 droips fairly quickly and diminishes to a point you can tell a battery is about to run out of power. Until a more authoritative response can be given then is it depends on whether you are wanting/using a "controlled" voltage charge cycle with a Joye Ego or a clone type that starts higher and diminishes until it reaches the cut-off or recharge need. In theory (and practicce really) a proper LR will demand and use more battery power than a standard resz.

Personally I like the vape with bigger MAH batteries. Just bought a NoEgo 18650, for $35 and it hits as good as a SB...Thats $85 and much better than an ego.

Agreed regards the higher Mah for an 18650. I am currently using the AW P18650 2600mah batteries and they are great. I know there are 2900mah from the same maker but testing has shown that the 2600 has a longer time at the upper end of its scale and then drops fairly rapidly to the point of needing a charge.

The 2900 lasts longer but it has shown to decline more evenly throughout its charge cycle. All that means is the 2600 gives you more hours above its nominal 3.7 rating while the 2900 gives you more overall hours. I just put a battery on the charger that I had been using all day and it started at 4.20 off the charger and was only at 3.85 when I replaced it with a freshly charged one.

That NoEgo sounds like a good deal and the 18650's have been around long enough for it to have established a good track record from AW as well as a couple of other makers.

For now I went went with the 1100's on the ego, they arrived today, thank heaven.
Vaping since 12/6/10, almost went back to analogs the past few days. That would have really been stupid, because I'm done with nicotine, but had an awfu craving to smoke
I've gone thru 8 batteries & 3 chargers
My position on the learning curve is not sophisticated enough to understand all the different models mentioned above

You dont need a LR atty on an ego..try it on a mod that uses an 18650 battery..works like it is supposed to.

I tried the boge, found them very disappointing. I like the lr, the sr is also disappointing.
I'm 232 days post analog & very comfortable with my ego, but it took 'til April (post philly vapefest) to do that.
I've got to stick with my ego & cisco, it's my sweet spot.
I thought batt size made a difference.
Now, I know it does not, so I'm going back to 650's.

Higher mah isn't going to affect the flavor or vapor production of your choice of cartos/clearos/attys+carts etc. The only thing that will affect those, are the voltages. All egos and pretty much any other all-inclusive ecig are going to be 3.7v (really only 3.4ish volts). The only way to get a different voltage is going to be from a mod.
