Well, I just had an interesting experience. Charging my 510 mega battery from a front USB port on my computer. Suddenly my computer went dead. I looked at it and noticed some smoke coming out of the tip of the battery. So naturally I took it out to prevent further damage. Next thing I know it was spitting fire and sparkles in all directions. Here are some results (if I can get the pictures posted):

And here is what is left of the culprit:

Weirdest thing: my computer is still working. No problem whatsoever.

I realize that all e-cigs use a USB connection for charging but as a PC repair/sales person I do not use and would never suggest using a PC USB port to charge/power an e-cig.
One of the many considerations to consider is the quality of the power supply in the PC and OEM units (Dell-HP etc.) are noted for using low quality units that have unstable power delivery.

Were did you get that 'charger', doesn't look Like a Joye product. Looks like the one that came with the disposables.

When I charge the batteries on a usb port, I always check if they blink, and feel if they're getting hot because that means there is a problem. This time I didn't.

First -WOW! That is just sooooo scary! Second- isn't that always the way it goes? The ONE time you don't check! Third - I'm so glad you're okay!
