Poor experience with customer service/shipping

Wanted to share my experience.....

i placed a small order on 1/13/11 (thursday). Received a shipping confirmation with tracking number on 1/14/11 (friday). Tracking on USPS showed the label being printed but no acceptance of the package. On 1/19/11 (wednesday) the package was given to USPS. 5 days after i received shipping confirmation.

i emailed madvapes asking why i was informed the package shipped on 1/14, when it was in fact not shipped until 1/19. here is chain from the support ticket:

Wed, Jan 19 2011 12:33pm This order (my first order with your company) was supposedly shipped on 1/14/11. i received a shipping confirmation and tracking number on that date. USPS only recognized that a label was created on that date. The package was not given to USPS until today, 1/19/11. why is this? i was not made aware that my order was going to take 6 days to ship, and was expecting it to be in the USPS system much earlier. is this standard practice for your company? i now will not receive the package until 1/24/11. seems a bit excessive, as i have never waited this long for a package from any of the other vendors i have ordered from.

Sorry for the issue. We are not open on Saturday and the post office was closed on Monday and no pick up on Tuesday (not sure why, I am working on this)your package was at the post office first thing Wednesday morning. I do feel bad, but I can not control the US Goverment. Here is a code for a discount on your next order "calender".

Thu, Jan 20 2011 10:35am This would make sense, if 1/14/11 was a saturday. 1/14/11 was a friday, and that is the day i received shipping confirmation and the package was supposedly shipped.

unsatisfied with the shipping & customer service. we will see how the juice fairs.

Sorry to hear about this. I have had nothing but great service from them. Instant responses, you name it. (Unlike one company I am still waiting on a response from on a mod that needs to work properly and not burn down the house upon arrival.) Perhaps this is one of the days when the home page said "weather" was delaying mail?

I really cannot say anything bad about MV. I love them. Hopefully you will be happy with your products and enjoy the coupon they gave you. Let us know how it goes.

seems to me that the confirmation you got on the 14th was just the automated email that is sent when the shipping label is printed. I also placed an order at the same time with the same weekend and holiday delays, my order also didnt get actually shipped out till the 19th but I have NO issues with the small delay as MV has always treated me right and given me something extra in my packages.

They rely on the USPS to pickup and deliver. They apologized and gave you a discount if you decide to order again. They are one of the best I have ever dealt with, price and CS. I had a batt go bad on my Leo. I opened a ticket. No questions, just sent me out a new and included a return postage paid envelope to return the failed one. I understand you are disappointed in how long it took to get to you, but it is very typical for the label to be printed, the buyer to get a notification, and then it to actually go out that evening or the next day, depending on when you ordered... Normally MV and Hoogie get things out very quickly and the USPS is reliable. This is a case of otherwise, but it is not typical of MV. Use the discount on your next order and try them again, I don't believe you will be disappointed.

my main problem, is that i received a shipping confirmation and it didnt ship until 5 days later. just wanted to share my experience to others. not looking for any compensation or discount codes.


Unfortunately down here in NC snow and ice cripple everything. We had snow on Monday and ice on Tuesday so no we had no pickup until Wednesday. It's a really rare occurance but it does happen..

Monday was MLK Day anyway.........I ALWAYS get my stuff from hoog when I am supposed to.........Trust me, I could name one vendor, with a number in the name, that charges over 2 times more to ship and literally 95% of EVERY ORDER I hae ever got takes FOREVER to get and is ALWAYS eff'ed up!! Oh well, nothing or nobody is perfect and there is always problems you can't control, but I have ordered from MADVAPES for over a year and they are always top notch in my opinion.......

When you get an order to ship out which he probably had your order ready to go on the 15th so you get on the internet at USPS click n ship and put in the info. A sticker prints out, at that time. USPS sends you the shipping notice. Then USPS obviously didn't stop on Tue because they were swamped from being off Monday so he got it picked up on Wednesday. Vendors take so much heat because of USPS service.

I have to say it's definately understandable to be upset, but oredering from madvapes I always expect the intial automated shipment email.....definately not your fault seeing as this may have been your first time ordering. I have problems on an order before and even tho the problem was MY mistake the guys at madvapes helped me out more than I expected...if u can I'd suggest overlooking this one bad experience take advantage of the discount code and give them another shot, they're the only site other than cignot that I've been 100% satisfied with, plus they have great juice at great prices IMO.

I am sorry you feel that you had “Poor experience with customer service/shipping” from MadVapes but under this set of circumstances I feel like you jumped the gun. Have you considered what kind of damage you have done to this company? New folks visit ECF every day and seeing a headline like yours might keep them from even visiting the Madvapes site. I have no problem ripping a company for poor service. I’ve done it myself but it was after months of back and forth emails and phone calls that failed to rectify the problem. As to Madvapes I have nothing but high praise for them. Time and time again they have proven to me what a top-notch company they are.

allow me to clarify further: its a "poor experience" because i received a shipping confirmation on 1/14/11, and the package did not ship until 1/19/11 without any notification from the vendor.

I had the same issue but then I figured out that first notification is automated and its just says that your packege is in shiping stock and USPS awaiting its araval. So its not a big deal one time i had to wait for two weeks bc of the holiday/weather delay.

P.S I know how you fill but in reality even if it would shiped on 14th it still could take up to a week to deliver.
