Popping and crackling ??

I know this must be a simple problem . Something I am doing a little wrong but know matter what rba I am rebuilding. At first it may be fine but after awhile all my rebuilds start popping pretty loud and crackling. Just what am I doing wrong I feel as it may be in the wicking. But really want to fix the problem. Along with knowing I'm doing things right. Thanks. Bill.

I see you asked someone to come and answer this in another thread.
Members can not see these until they have been moved to another area (see instruction stickies)
Since you want replies now, Ask The Veterans isn't the place for your question - so I moved you to General vaping Discussion to get you some help.
You will also need to participate in your thread, you can't do that with an ATV question as it comes back as a locked thread.

RE Ask The Veterans:
"ATTENTION! New Members should ask their questions in the New Member's forum
You can ask a question here and have it answered by experienced ECF members - the Vets are long-term members.
Please read the announcements within the forum.
Note that it may be two days or so before your post is answered, so this is not the place for time-critical queries."

I think most is caused by oversaturation, this can be caused by to much airflow and insufficient wattage. Also if your wicking material is insufficient it can also happen. Is it an rda or rta? If you have juice control, try closing it a bit or try increasing power slightly. It could be that you have a massive airflow tank and it's being under powered. Because you said it fine at first, makes me believe that your wick is collapsing , thus the spitting. Maybe try slightly more wicking material

What everyone else said and I get this less since doing temp control. Concerned looks from others has gone down 100 percent too.

I can give you All the Standard Answers. Brush the Cotton to help reduce Air Pockets. Use Less Water in your DIY. Use More Cotton / Use Less Cotton.

So I will just Suggest this. If your builds Always Snap Crackle and Pop, try a Different Tech.

I used to get Popping a lot. So I switched from Rolling the Wick (probably has so Hip Name) to just pulling the Cotton Pad strip thru the Coil. Seemed to fix it.

I think the Key is just to Do something Different.

I also think a bit more information would help us help you. What tanks with what wattage with what coil build? How long have you been building these tanks and does it always go this way?

A bit of crackling and popping is perfectly normal in most tanks when they have a new coil and wick in them. More power (watts) will make it get louder and more frequent. It will also quiet down over time as the coils get a bit gunked.

From what you said above, I can only suggest you make sure there is a correct amount of cotton in the coils and that you are not choking off juice flow with the way you set up the wick tails. These two things are easy to experiment with, just requires you to re-wick a few times :)

Hang in there, you'll get it :thumb:

Some crackling and popping is normal. As stated it's usually cause by too much juice on the coil with too low a power level.
