Someone mentioned that if the wick is to loose in the coil, it will pop. Actually, I'd be grateful if someone had info on that. I tinker with stuff like that, but I haven't really figuredit out.

One thing that I do do regularly is to dry burn my coil before puitting a new wick in. I push an extra 8-10 watts through it to burn off any gunk that is on the coil.

Anyway, nice to hear more experiences.

The pop sound is part of normal atomizer operation as others said. There is a certain point to where it can also be a wicking issue. You generally hear a crackle along with your pop.

Sometimes you'll get popping when the coils have not been fired for sometime, due to heat change from a cool coil to a hot one.

You'll also get popping if your wick is starting to dry out. A good sign to drip of using a RDA. Good thing about this is that you'll hear the popping before a dry hit, so you'll never get one.

Popping can also be caused by too little wick. Usually accompanied by liquid spitting upward.

It's this. Use more cotton (or other wicking material) and it will completely stop. You'll here some sizzles, but the sharp cracks and pops are a telltale sign of not enough wick or an old wick that has shrunk and space has formed between the wick and coil.

Perfectly normal, means your wicks are extra saturated and the coil is vaporizing very well.

Higher % PG juices, and certain coil builds (specifically parallels) will cause more popping.

Again nothing to be worried about, its a positive sign.
I'm with him , it's nothing but a sign that everything is working as intended.
