I got a subox mini kit with some mango minty juice. Pops and crackles sometimes but I've read that its normal for new kit to be like this.

Popping or crackling is normal. You should feel happy to hear that. It means you have built well and your coils are firing nicely. If you don't it could mean your wattage is too low. But if you experience lots of juice spitting into your mouth when crackling happens, then it is not good. It means your cotton isn't covering much area on the coils.
