I bought one for added safety in my mechanical mod. Only to find out, for whatever reason it just won't work in my device as specified by the instructions. The instructions say to install it on the negative side of the battery. Well I tried that, and I just can't get a connection unless I screw my mod together (it's telescopic) extremely tight, and then it just auto fires (not good!). I believe It's just the way my firing pin is designed.

So I did a little research and testing. When installed to the positive side of the battery, my device fires no problem. And from everything I have read online, I'm lead to believe that the device is NOT polarity sensitive, so I'm thinking there's no reason at all that it shouldn't function just fine installed to the positive end of the battery. I mean, if there's a short, it's going to flow through the fuse no matter which side of the battery it's positioned on correct?

So, does anyone have anything to add? If anyone can think of a reason this won't work I'd really like to know about it. I'd like to know if my back up protection (other than my own common sense) isn't going to work :p

Welp apparently no one has the answer to this question lol. That's okay. Found out it's working fine. Built a .5 ohm coil (don't worry, I've thoroughly investigated how to do this safely). With my 3.7 batteries it's an output of 7.4 amps and the fuse is only rated for 7 amps. It did the weird pulsing thing it advertized.

So it's all good.
