Signed - anyone know if these signatures actually help?

I am sure they do.
Many many UK vapers have been bombarding their members of the European parliament with emails mostly telling their own story of how they have reduced consumption of tobacco and moved over to ecigs.
Like most MP`s throughout the world, if any legislation is put forward, most of them will just rubber stamp it, especially if they know nothing about the subject or if it does not interest them. But if, like in the UK, you have many thousands of emails, it may just prompt you to do a little research.
We have many MP`s that did not even know what an ecig was but that has now changed.
We were able to educate a good number of our MP`s who then started to question what the EU parliament was trying to do and in fact voted against the proposals of making ecigs only available only as a prescribed medication, thus giving Big P another bite of the tax payers apple in the form of being the only supplier of such medication and ripping off huge amounts of tax revenue.
Google "Chinese Medical Bribes" and you will see what Big P are capable of.
Many of our MP`s and I am sure many of your own parliamentarians are allegedly in the pockets of large multi national tax subsidised medical suppliers.
Brown envelopes and wads of cash are not uncommon.
So in answer to your question.......every little helps.
