X2 LR 1.5ohm Dual Coil XL 510 Cartomizers

Am I just seeing things or could you cut these and put them in a MAP tank? I am about to order some from Avid Vapor because they sound so awesome. I was wondering if there were some video links about them, and if someone thought they could go in a MAP tank. Sounds like it would be crazy!:vapor:

I would think the design of the CE2 would negate the possibility of a dual coil. While feasible, it would not be practical.

As to using a dual coil carto ( or any carto ) in a MAP tank, that is possible. Instead of cutting off the housing, you would
put 1 ( possibly 2 ) small hole in the side of carto so that juice could seep from tank into the carto. Carto would go through
bottom plug all the way through to top plug. While it is done using various tank systems, it is very fiddly. The viscosity
of the juice would determine size and/or quantity of holes.

Too large of a hole with juice that is too thin and you would simply flood the carto. Same applies if hole is too small or
juice is too thick, then you would not get enough flow to keep filler in carto wet.

Well I really didn't think my Map tank could take 6v on my sliver bullet, but I tried it last night and it was great. I also did the CE2 on a 5V passthrough and it worked great. I guess these things are just made for higher voltage. I can put 2 CR123's in an indulgance and it puts out far less power than my sliver bullet, and that is sometimes a good thing. Even HV 510's and 306's taste burnt on the SB at 6v. So MAP tank 2.4 with stacked batteries in an swap top is MUCH better than on a 3.7 SB.

yes you can make the map tank int a dual coil mod, cut little slits it the bottom of the carto shell just two little ones tho, then slide the whole carto up into the tank, works great

Have you done this? I have been thinking about trying it, but change my mind when I think about how hard it is to get
the CE2 in or out. If I did manage to force the delrin plug all the way onto the DC carto, I might not be able to get it off
again without damaging something. Especially just to re-fill it.

The triple coil is also now made by Smoketech and will be available very soon in the states by our retailers and its for HV use. If you can Mod stuff you can pretty much use any carto in a tank you want and it will work if you know what your doing. They've all been out there for a while now, whether its a whole or slit in the bottom of a carto,, a CE2, or even a laser hole in a carto they all work if modded correctly.

Is this in reply to my last question?

As you know, or maybe not by looking at your avatar, the map seals around the CE2 by fitting
tight enough to not leak. The liquinator uses o-rings to seal around the carto and this also
makes the fitting flexible enough to slide up and down on the carto without leaking.

My concern was that pushing the carto all the way through the plug and moving it up and down
to refill it may make the fitting loose enough to start leaking.
