Hello,

We are currently on our forum users LoongTotem LT-LT-V9 and V10 of possible problems with refills
The cotton cartridge seems burn because the resistance is in direct contact with cotton.
it would explain the sensation of hot smoke into the mouth and large quantities of smoke inhaled like a real cigarette
Do you have any evidence to confirm our findings?
It would be interesting to know the composition of the liquid in cartridges
The liquid heated to high temperatures could release toxic vapor (especially glycerine)
I put links to our posts
You will see pictures of cartridges dismantled after use

you are exactly correct margouillat. contrary to widely held beliefs, LT cartridges do not last all day. They last approximately 3-4 cigarettes in my honest opinion, the same as a super mini cartridge.

once the fiber immediately surrounding the wire is no longer wet with liquid, it starts to burn, then you are smoking burning fiber along with the liquid from the outer parts of the fiber. this is very dangerous. I doubt it is made from cotton.

unfortunately, due to an old video review, that is now linked to on LT's web-site, many people believe that loong cartridges last all day. They do not...unless you refill them. but even then, if one part of the area around the wire is not saturated with liquid, then it will start to burn. re-filling sometimes works and sometimes does not. it is almost like a precise science.

what LT need to do is use a fiber that does not burn and does not release chemicals when heated, or they can make sure that the hot wire does not directly contact the fiber. they try to do this in some cartridges which have a shield of steel wool surrounding the wire, but these do not work very well.

Yes, this problem has been known for over a year now and I'm surprised they're still manufacturing these things and didn't get sued for it. As long as there's liquid inside there's no problem but when it's empty trouble starts. They should make some kind of weak spot in the wire which gets burned through when it's getting above a certain temperature.

Honestly, that has not been my experience at all- a Cart will go a whole day of moderate vaping- Thyere really must be somethign wrong with the cartridges you got DC if they are only lasting 3-4 ciggs worth- I've gotten between 350 and 400 full double drags off the catridges before the burning started, and I've taken cartridges apart that have lasted me a couple of days of light vaping, which got gummed up and no longer could be inhaled, and htere was no burning. You cartridges must be dry or something for htem to be burning out so quickly
