Well, you all might think I'm crazy, but I'd swear that the way I put the mouthpiece containing the cartridge onto the atomizer actually makes a big difference in vapor production and the effective use of the liquid in the cartridge. As I've never seen anyone talk about this here I thought I'd post and see if anyone else has noticed this.
For the longest time I would just put the mouthpiece on after topping up, without any care or concern as to directionality. Sometimes I'd get good vapor and hits, the liquid would seem to get all used up nicely, and the cartridge would then easily soak up many drops when I went to refill. Other times, the vapor would be thin to nonexistant, and the liquid would just puddle up on top of the cart immediately when I tried to refill, indicating there was still liquid in the cartridge. And, I've seen a lot of people seeming to have the same inconsistency in results.
Recently it hit me that the carts are all shaped with one direction being longer than the other, and the atomizer heads are also elongated on one side as opposed to being roundish. This applies most clearly to the penstyle atomizers, but to the 901 style as well to a lesser extent.
So I decided to line up the elongated side of the cartridge with the elongated side of the atomizer after filling up, and as I said above, I swear it really makes a difference. Here's a picture of what I mean:

I think that by doing it that way it allows the cartridge fill to sink more completely onto the atomizer head, and maybe if the cartridge is placed the other way it doesn't go down as far and the atomizer just can't soak up the liquid as well.
So, what's your verdict: am I crazy or inspired?
