Hey everyone. I am Anneke, I have been lurking this forum non stop for about 4 - 5 days. The info on this site has been so so valuable, a little daunting ( I had no idea vaping was so complex !!!!!!), but wonderful overall. I have been wanting to become an e-cig user for a loong time now. Thanks to discovering this forum, Ive taken the plunge and am anxiously awaiting for my order to arrive. I am so damn sick of smoking real cigs. Ive tried it all, patches, inhalers, hypnotherapy, champix. But I am feeling really confident about trying an e-cig.
The only setback I can see is that in Australia we are not allowed to buy any e-liquids / cartridges with nicotine.

Hi Anneke! I hope you like e-cigs. I tried all the same methods to quit as you it seems, and none of them worked at all. The e-cig was kind of like "magic" for me. I lost all my cravings for smokes the very day I tried my first e-cig... Some people say it takes them awhile longer, but for me, it was really a strange miracle.
I didn't realize that Australia had limitations on eliquids and stuff. Arggg. They're heading that way here, but I really hope it stays legal.
Best of luck to you! It's almost 2am here, so I'm off to bed. I can't wait to hear how you like your e-cig so please be sure to check back after you get it!

OK I have way more than 5 posts and it isn't letting me Post a new thread. I haven't been here in a while but I wouldn't think that would matter. Anyone help??

When you get over 75 or so posts, you are no longer allowed to start a new thread in the "new members" section; you may start your thread in any other section though.

If you exceed a certain amount of posts (somewhere between 70-100 posts off the top of my head) you can no longer create threads in the "New Members" sub-forum, though you are free to post in any of the threads here. This was implemented because with out it some members would stay in the NM forum and never venture out in other areas of ECF.

Where the 5 post minimum is to help catch spammers and such,, this 'cap' helps keep ECF organized and assists the members to create threads in the appropriate sub-forums.

It's a balancing act and assists all of the ECF staff in making the forum a pleasant experience for the community.

Wait... we're supposed to be making this place a pleasant experience for people?

I must have missed that memo.
