Well, I think I might've broken my rba on my Baby Beast. I could not get the top shield off the rba. I tried EVERYTHING. Rubber gloves, those rubber can openers, etc. Finally, I got a pair of pliers and grabbed the u-shaped piece of metal on the bottom while holding the top and started to turn. Well, the only thing that turned was the u-shaped piece of metal and I don't think that is supposed to move. I was finally able to grab both pieces with two pliers and get it opened. Once I did, I was trying to change the wicks when I noticed one of the coils moving. It is well screwed in and connected and fires fine but the whole post rocks towards the center of the RBA and back out a very little bit. It's kind of like a loose tooth when it first starts getting just a tiny bit loose. I don't know if what I did caused this but it's loose. Is the RBA shot? Is there some way to fix it? Can I still use it with the loose post?

I've search all over the internet for a replacement RBA and can only find it on a website in china that takes 10-30 days to ship it. Any help woudl be great!

That piece actually does come off. There's a threaded post that runs up the middle of that. That is what the coil posts are actually threaded too (provided the BB rba is designed just like the CB rba). Hold the coils posts so they're straight and tighten that bottom piece back up and everything should be fine.

I'm a man, and I can change, if I have to, I guess.

I tried this today and it just spins and spins. I went ahead and bought a replacement.

The coil that came with the RBA base was suppose to be 0.3ohm but showed up as 0.39ohm. Didn't think anything of it since I never use the factory machine wrapped coils anyways and the wrap job looked really poor. I threw in my own dual 28 gauge that I know always ohms out to 0.43-0.44, but it showed up as 0.5-0.51ohm on 3 different devices.

I decided to take it apart and clean the threads, I assumed the positive pin was threaded like the other RBA decks.... but I was wrong. After a few turns I noticed that the pin was not backing out. Gave it a pull and sure enough, it was press fitted. By then I had already wrecked most of the splines trying to turn it out.

Anyways, I reassembled everything, posts were wobbly like you mentioned. I placed the RBA base only on the table, used a small flat head screw driver and and hammer and started to gently tap on the positive post base just around the pin. It was enough for the post to get seated and no long wobbles. I don't know how long this will last.

Hi, would it be possible to show a picture of what you tapped with the screw driver please? I'm having similar issues with my BB rba, every now and then it says atomizer short but no visible shorts anywhere. so frustrated as i really like this tank. :(
