It kind of depends. For one, they are much simpler and as a MTL vaper I tend to enjoy things being simple. Since I'm building to a higher resistance, I don't need two coils halving my resistance and/or building such large coils that it takes a lot of wattage to get them up and vaping. Additionally, a lot of MTL vapers prefer smaller decks due to having tube style mods, and if I were to try and build a tiny deck with 2 coils, I doubt I'd have a fantastic time. To me, the simplicity of single coil build are attractive, in any case.

With that said, if you are a sub0hm vaper two coils will give you lower resistance fairly easily and typically with a sub0hm build, you'd want more vapor (so more surface area on your coils) and higher wattage to produce more clouds. The more metal is heated up, the more surface area that's available, the more vapor you will get--with more wattage.

That's the kind of simple answer, I am sure there can be flavor advantages particularly when getting into more exotic coils and whatnot. That's not really my goal right now, and I have never built those types of coils, so I can't say too much about them...

As always you are a fountain of excellent info! Thank you.

I tend to like lots of clouds and DTL. For some reason it satisfies my urge to "smoke" better (even though I know actual smoking is MTL).

I also like flavor and lots of nicotine.

LOL, I guess I want it all.

Right now I am looking at a Genesis clone and I think I can run it as a single coil if I want.

Should be in later this week.

Also getting more wire:

And some cotton:

LOL - I've been spending a decent amount of money on vaping - but the AWESOME part is I am still saving money over what I was paying for a pack a day habit. For what I was spending on smokes, I could buy a tank a day at FT, LOL. (or a couple spools of wire, or a battery, etc.)

I could buy a new mod every week, etc. . .

Not that I would!
