I'm still without power in NJ. About 25% of most towns around me. It was a very cold week without heat, but weather has warmed up a bit for the weekend.

They promise restoration two days out every day and yet the poles still lay across the streets and huge 100ft trees rest on the wires as they were 12 days ago now. Most trees not on wires were cleaned up over a week ago by private companies and the town. The power company is holding everything up.

Gov Christie said everyone would have power by Sunday, but he said that last week too. We look around town and know that is not even remotely possible. The false hope and lying from the utility company make it so much more difficult. Had we been told 2 plus weeks with no power, most would have moved out.

I truly feel for the people who were flooded. At least once we get power life can return to normal.

My power just came back (Again!) about an hour & a half ago. It wasn't Sandy that got us the second time, it was the snow storm. The crew came Friday & put a wire back up in front of our house, but trees were down on our driveway & wires were down on my Mother-In-Law's house on the back of our property. They had to disconnect our house & M-I-L's to get the rest of our area on line. So all the neighbors on both sides of us had power & we didn't. Our house was 44 degrees inside & literally felt warmer outside. All is well now with the DummyMe family.

Is there anyone back there who knows a lot of vapers, who could figure out who lost everything? Who could administer a Give Forward fund? 'Cause after the '89 quake the Red Cross did a LOT of great things to keep people alive and fed but wasn't significantly helpful with long-term recovery, and I doubt they buy people e-juice these days.

We lost all our eliquids. Fortunately we grabbed our bolt and lava tube as we were evacuating. Thankfully we were able to make our way to eliquid planet about ten days ago and bought a couple of bottles of eliquid before The damage from Sandy took its toll on my car so now were stuck playing the waiting game with the auto shop and insurance rep who continues to overbook appointments and puts us off....just one more day. Wish there was a vapor store here in Bay Ridge where were camping out LOL

Note to vaporers...FEMA considers vaping smoking and will ask you to move far away from their vicinity.

Lost quite a bit - including the roof on my house - that storm was out of control. Never again do I hope to see wind that fierce.

First thing I said to my hubby when we saw each other....4days later....I love you, I missed you but don't ever expect me to ride out another one. And after discovering that pets are not allowed even under circumstances like Sandy, my next vehicle will be a van with a bed and toilet LOL
