My macaw would lure the dog over and bite him...my cockatoo would just scream bloody murder if the dog got close !
Here's a pic of me when I was 16, holding our greenwing macaw (Alex); the black scruffy looking thing in the front was our petite Cocker Spaniel (Duchess). Lol, she was in need of a trim and comb.
Lol, that bird was loud! He always yelled "Shut Up Duchess!!!!" just like my mom did! She'd get started barking while she was outside and mom would yell at her, after awhile the bird started yelling it all the time too.
they do that....can't say what mine yells....but he yells it the same tone as I love you...nicest you've ever heard it...you don't know whether to throw a shoe at him or say thank you...
Little birds weigh so little you can't hardly feel them, but that bird was HEAVY! I swear he weighed 20 pounds! He was a good bird mostly, except when he decided to shriek.
