I've never been to the Louisville Zoo. Dh's dad lived there while he was alive. My parents and their families were all from Lexington and my most of my cousins still live there. I went to boarding school in Versailles, back in the day lol. I still come up to Richmond every summer -- Dh's family lives there and I come into Lexington to go to the Big Cemetery and clean my grandparents headstones so seeing your location always me thing of "second home".

it has actually been just over 20 years since i've been there! shortly after they built the herpaquarium, actually! andi's favorite resteraunt is joe's crab shack, so we went to louisville to celebrate her birthday early--no one else had been to the zoo there and we had a blast! i still can't believe that it was a perfect day for the zoo---in january! do you come into kentucky very often? i would love to go to chicago's aquarium!

the zoo was really nice and while the kids had been to cinci's zoo, we had never made a trip to louisville's. maybe on one of your trips "home" we can arrange a proper meetup and do lunch or something

dandelionwings, I haven't been down there for about 5 years. A family friend that was essentially like family lived there but he passed away.....so I haven't been since. I do get to the Cincinnati Zoo at least once per year because I've got family there. It's pretty fabulous too.

the art museum in Eden Park? It's fabulous. I went there a couple of years ago with my dad. I love Krohn Conservatory too, right around the corner in the park....
