pffft....when I look in the mirror ...I see my mom....
I'm actually a really good mix of my mom and dad, in fact, my right ear is lobed (mom) and my left ear isn't (dad), and the left side of my nose is shaped like my mom's, while the right is shaped like my dad's! My mom's nose hollows near the nostril, and dad's nose flares. Lol, my nose looks crooked only in bad lighting though. Sometimes I look like mom, and others like dad. My eyes are shaped like dad's, but I have my mom's eye color. Grandma's cheekbones and Granny's hands. Oh yeah, mom's hair color and dad's hair texture. What bothers me out of all of this is that I'm actually built like my mom, and there are weight problems on that side of the family, mom gets bigger every time I see her.

I alternate between mad and sad that she keeps gaining weight, usually more sad though. I'm already doing better now than she was at my age, but there's still that concern that I'll one day slip up and get caught in that whirlpool too. I already had to battle to get that extra 20 pounds off, and getting back down to my ideal weight has helped my confidence, but that little nagging fear doesn't go away.
Wow, that sure turned into a rant didn't it?

I'll turn it off now lol!
Exactly - Me too!
Whenever my daughter would call on the phone and would ask my late husband "Is Mom around?". He'd answer: "Well actually, she's kinda pear-shaped."
