How do you post a link and have the visible (clickable) part be descriptive rather than the URL? Since the URL shows twice when you click the link icon I'm assuming one of them is the actual link and one is the display, but which is which?

Works just like Rob said if you want to edit a link. What displays without any editing depends on the site coding provided by the link. If you want to see before posting go to Advanced mode and Preview your post.
