posting new threads in sub forums

the old version had places to post new threads in sub forums ..the new version does not .
only options are post reply ...upload file ...and more options .
sorry I ask this qwestion by mistake in the modding forum . I know it doe not belong there.
neither does it belong where to go for answers in a sub forum for bottom feeders .
so my question ..must be simple every body is doing it exept me...
how do I start a new thread in a sub forum.

not sure of English terminology so...I will call lets say the "modding " forum the I want and call it the main forum I will find a red
box to start a new thread ....from there I will go to lets say scroll down to a sub forum like bottom feeders a place for every thing ectr what I call a sub forum where I want to write a thread w picture and video . now looking to start a new thread there.
with out answering to an existing write up ...and possible place it in some one elses thread.
in the old version was a place to start a new thread ..here the option is anser thread .so how I do this without trampeling on anybody ? just not sure . thanks

Please post the link to the forum you are unable to start a new thread in. I'll then go look to see if usergroup permissions are set properly. It's also possible you need to clear your cache and cookies if you see others are able to start new threads and you aren't.

rolf, you need to be in the subforum where you want to start your thread not in somebody else's thread. using your example ''bottomfeeders, a place for everything'' is a thread not a subforum

not up on termilogy started computers to late in my life ! so I start typing there and put links in ecetra and hit what ?
post reply ? that sounds like answering to an existing post to me . so it means it will put in my post in this thread ?
