One thing that really makes me mad about ECF is that I get kicked off the site before I'm done posting a thread.

Thanks Hoosier. This does work, esp. On my iPad. Firefox has issues these days with saving user names and passwords...even if one fiddles with exceptions, ect....

On a side note. I ordered Babylon 5 from Firefox. It sat there unmatched for awhile as I caught up on the sexy HBO shows, and some others, but just started watching it last night...it's great. I love the rawness of it, like the original Startreks.mthe characters are interesting, more in depth than other shows. Have you started going through it.

The mods will likely move this...it's now in the wrong place

It must be an iPad related issue then, we'd have to get more feedback from ipad users. Most of the staff use Firefox and use the remember me function without any issues. I use it and it keeps me logged in literally weeks at a time. The only time I need to redo my login is when I clear cookies and cache.

If you are using an extension that blocks cookies that may be the issue. Firefox doesn't require any fiddling in the settings to make "Remember Me" work.

I can stay logged into ecf with Firefox, but it won't remember my user name and password, once I shut the laptop down or close the window.

Now the iPad, I stay logged in all the time becuase it's always on. But even if I use airplane mode, then reconnect, I'm still logged into ecf. I'll tell you one thing the iPad won't do, is upload pictures. This is true with Facebook as well. I thought it may have something to do with flash player...but I don't really know enough about computers to be sure about that.

I think you are on the right track with the iPad as far as flash and uploading, I seem to recall hearing this is a common problem for iPad users. The remember me function checks for a cookie so if you have some type of private browsing plugin or cookie blocker it will fail. The part about it not remembering your username and password is in your settings. Firefox won't remember the username and password if you tell it not to do so.
