Hello there, I am thinking very hard about getting Vamo v3 or v5, but I have a few questions first concerning batteries and chargers. After reading through here and some youtube video's I am kind of hesitant about it.

I was thinking of either getting one of these 2:

THIS package but unsure if the batteries or chargers are any good, or what batteries would be the best option.

or

Going with a V5 and building my own battery and charger pack from HERE but am unsure if what they have is any good in the battery line.

If you guys have any suggestions or what not feel free to give it as I am not locked into one of these 2 places. I am just looking for a good deal and this about the best I could come up with.

My other option was to go with a MVP2, but I really like the looks of the Vamo!!!!

Thanks,
Tommy

I actually linked the wrong battery up there, should have been THIS one.

***wouldnt let me edit the link above for some reason!!

I have 2 of those exact same batteries and that same charger as well. I also have 4 of the AW IMR 2000mahs (button tops). Those Panasonic Hybrid flat tops really go for a very long time. My usage is kind of spread out since I have 2 Vamos and 3 VV eGos but when I ued the Panasonics I put them in Sunday Morning and they didn't get down to 3.5v until sometime Wednesday evening. (I usually charge them at 3.5v before the Vamo actually cuts them off). Doesn't make much difference if you just let them go till it's cuts off though I think this at 3.4v.

I am rocking these batteries and using a Nitecore i4 charger, I can vape almost 2x days with moderate vaping

V3 was the major internals upgrade, v4 and V5 were just cosmetic changes by using the V2 smooth body (vs the swirl pattern on the V3) the V5 is a hybrid, uses the smooth body of the V2 with the removable beauty ring of the V3, I have been rocking a V3 for almost my whole time of not smoking and it hasn't skipped a beat!

Thanks for the info WarHawk-AKG.

Does the mAh value change anything besides time between charges with the changeable batteries like these take. Say how big of a hit or vape you get or is all about time between charges.
nope...nice thing about APV's, the electronics are designed to boost the power for the same vape from a full charge battery till when the battery is depleted (Lo V), depending on the power you use (higher means less battery life) and your technique on vaping affect it as well

The mAh is the capacity of the batteries with a time rating on it...sure the 2900 might last longer, but at almost 2x the price for only 900mAh more you can buy two 2000, alternate charging em (use one one day, swap out the next) besides not draining the batteries completely makes the charge cycles of Li Ion go up alot!

Thanks SirSteve, I sure hope so. This is my first real piece. All I have been using up until this point is cheap disposable's (Blu and BullDog), so I sure hope this is the step I been looking for!!!

I have the V2 in black chrome, got last December and it still works and look nice. Take care of it and it should take care of you. And that is quite a step up from what you have been using. Vape On.

Thanks SirSteve, it is a little more than I thought I was going to get when I first signed up here on Friday. I started out looking into a couple eGo style's and from talking to people on here and a bunch of searching. I decided MODS were what I really wanted to get into eventually. So after some talking it over with the wife, I just decided to skip the eGo style all together and go straight to were I knew I would wind up anyway. Might not have been the most rational decision, but I figured in the end it would be cheaper...............lol

Be advised...there have been reports of the black chrome finish not being as resilient as many have hoped (ok...crappy is the nice word)

Beautiful thing...you can get wraps to make them look different!

This is my Vamo V3 w/ skin

Thanks WarHawk-AVG, I didnt know that about the finish but I would have still got it anyway. I am not really a fan of the chrome or stainless steel there just to bright for me. I did like the Gunmetal of the v3, but it also seemed to be hindered by the same thing.

Thats a nice skin you have there, I will have to look into those at some point. Are they hard to put on with it being cylinder shape?
