I'd say the potential is worse than with water. With water, you leave it off until it's completely dry and generally you're fine. Coffee (black) isn't too bad. Coffee with sugar and cream? DIsaster.

Now, you MAY be safe from getting anything on the mother board as many notebooks have a solid membrane between the actual keyboard and internal circuitry. So it may be possible to take the notebook apart and clean just the keyboard up.

If you're not up to snuff on doing this yourself, take it to a qualified repair shop so they can give it a thorough cleaning and testing.

I'm not sure on the conductivity of eliquid, distiller water is non conductive tho. Certainly turn it off leave it off. Remove the battery. If any damage has not been done yet there certainly is still potential for shorting while it is powered up if juice is still inside. Take it apart clean with a damp rag, (isopropyl is ideal), be carefull to avoid delicate components. Remove all residue, leave it to dry for a good few days at the very least.

When I was filling my tank, I accidentally poured e-juice on my keyboard, and a lot went in. I wonder if e-juice have the potential to damage circuit board like water or coffee?

I dropped my filled tank on keyboard.

Thanks

Most laptop keyboards are not "open" to the inside of your computer.

At least, most i have replaced aren't.

It sure can make them sticky though. Look down in there w/flashlight and see if open to inside......I highly doubt it.

A lot of times a leaky clearomizer will leak liquid to where it connects the battery (Ego Twist in my case). It never caused any problem for me. Why is that? no shorts or anything

Myrany, I'm looking at your avatar, and man........ I miss WoW.

I am actually in LOTRO more than WoW these days. Bliz made some changes this expansion I really hate with a passion.

On the high side vaping has been a godsend to my tanking. No more trying to get a smoke break in a 3 hour raid. Take a vape and pull the next group.

I've fixed many of these.

1-download the service manual for your laptop
2-follow the instructions to remove the keyboard
3-spray it liberally with WD-40. If there are particular keys affected, pop them off, and spray inside. Press the key cap back in place.
4-wipe it down and let it dry (you can clean the laptop innards with alcohol wipes)
5-put it back together

If that didn't fix it, pickup a replacement keyboard from eBay; they're cheap.
