Hi, I am starting to diy using powders. sucalose, vanillin, koolada, menthol ect.

Alot of recipes call for using diluted solutions. like 2% of koolada solution diluted already at %10. I am trying to figure out how to calculated that using pure powder instead of a solution.

This is just an example but if I had to use 2% of koolada solution that is diluted already to %10. What would the percent of koolada power would I be using?

Are you talking about using crystals such as menthol, koolata etc you buy from a vaping vender or off the supermarket shelf sweeteners like splenda?

If your talking about vape vender crystals then a 10% solution will work fine.

you can remove the plunger from a 10ml syringe fill it to the 1ml mark with crystals and dump that in a 10 ml bottle and fill it the rest of the way with 9ml's of a 50/50 percent solution of PG and PGA and shake well. warming the solution slightly will help desolve the crystals.

If your talking about supermarket splenda that is not recommended as they also contain other ingrediance not recommended for vaping.

Yes I am talking about using pure crystals no additives. And I was looking at a way to add pure crystals to my mix instead of diluting it first.

If a recipe calls for 2% of a solution diluted already to 10% how much percentage of pure crystals would I need to equal that amount If i were to use pure crystals instead of diluting it first?

That would be correct but I myself don't work that way. I make up my solutions as 10% solutions and go from there. That process that you speak of seems to me to be a very small amount to measure accurately with any consistance time after time. It's really nothing more then a personal preference on how you approach it.

Yea my problem is that I have no pg to use to make solutions. It is very hard/expensive for me to get pg so I chose not to use it. and I'd rather not use alcohol.

My scale reads down to 0.00g so it is actually very easy for me to measure out powders.

Take a look at Canvape or Flavorfog! Both in Canada and both have great and super low prices on PG!

Somewhere
1 gram per 9mls is the ratio people like to use. They mix up 1 gram EM with 9mls of PG and they get a 10% solution. Then they use that solution with their mixes.

For people who don't have a scale they will use the syringe method since 1ml roughly equals 1 gram.

Ok, confusion cleared up.
I had to retest my weights and measures.

1ml of EM Crystals does weight approx 1 gram.
Thanks for the assist.
