Let say I take my noma powerpack, plug a small (no cord) M401 USB Charger, then plug a 510 atty (almost perfect match for the M401 atty connection)..

The M401 USB Charger say it have an output of 4.2 volt..

Can it be that simple

Its not that simple,

1. The power pack doesn't put out anywhere near enough amps to run the atty
2. You would need to bypass the charging circuit in the M-series charger and install a manual switch.

You need to get a better power pack with at least 1amp/1000mA output and mod the M-series charger

oh right, the mA .. output at 4.2v but only 100mA

To be more exact, my powerpack is a noma but a superior one as in the pictures.. it is the R12 model with a 3200mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. With a passthrough connected to it, I can vape for days without recharging the pack but that wont change the fact that it have a 100mA.. i guess my passthrough with battery integrated in the cable make it powerfull enough to work.

But i expected your part 2.. switch problem. I will still try to find the M401 usb charger somewhere (ruyan if I have no choice but take forever to get to Montréal) to harvest the socket for all my 510 attys.

Is there any US / non-china seller for those small inexpensive no-cord M401 USB charger ?

I know there are other way but I still had no 510 battery failure that I can harvest the socket from for my mods and I prefer not to use cheap lamp-socket style alternative. I have build a 510 to RCA connector but I only had 1x M401 atty to harvest from and want to create more adaptors.

Here is a modded Evo Charger, I dont have pics of the inside. It just hot wired from the USB to the switch/LED and then to the atty connector

Nice work once again Cisco..
and of course, i'll send you a pm with my coord so you can ship it to me :D

So far Ruyan direct got them for 3,50$ each.. but its the waiting part that kills me..

the mod seem easy to do.. i may try that if i decide to go the USB way instead of RCA (since i learned here that i just gotta use the 1 and 4 pin for pos/neg and that pin 2 and 3 were for data transfer by usb.

As always, im wondering what kind of small momentary switch you use.. i'll try to find the smallest i guess

Question for you Cisco.. Did the EVO charger lid cover snap in place or you had to superglued it to put it back together once you had the switch installed ?
