I use the 808 and refill my cartos with the "drip method" as I read/saw videos that the condom method makes a mess and wastes liquid. I refill once in a 24 hour period. I have only been vaping for four months, and have only used the 808 so I cannot offer much info. Sorry!

I do not buy the pre-filled cartos anymore because in my experience, it is cheaper to refill.

Maybe try a different filling method? When I refill, I remove the white cap on top, drip one drop at a time with the carto tilted to the side and watch it soak up into the filling fiber...the reason I do it one at a time is because I found if I drip when the filling fiber still looks wet, it goes down the tube in the middle and I end up getting liquid in my mouth when I hit it. I usually get at least 20 drops in an empty carto this way...depending on the carto, up to 25 drops. HTH!

Prefilled what? Prefilled Boge of the same ohms? Or prefilled some other kind of carto? Are the physical cartos identical brand and ohms?

If not, then it's not even worth asking. Some cartos have more capacity, loose stuffing, smaller center air channel. Some are fewer ohms (hotter) or just give bigger drags more easily and vaporize the liquid quicker.

If the cartos ARE identical in all ways except you filling vs prefilled, what PG/VG did you fill with? The Boge prefills are standard resistance (3 ohm) and filled with 100% PG juice.

Or maybe you are just not filling completely? Some new carto users drip juice in and then as soon as a drop comes out the bottom they think they are done. That is not done. The carto has a 1ml capacity. You need to aim towards putting 1ml in. I hold a tissue on the threaded end hole, tilt the carto and drip in 18 drops (waiting longer for the first few to soak in), Then I wait 15 seconds. Then I see how many more it will soak in easily (usually 3-6, occasionally more). Then I clean it up - clean threaded end, tilt open end down into tissue and puff into threaded end to clear the air channel, then while still pointed down I just touch a soft bit of tissue to the top of the stuffing to sop up excess (to help prevent leaks). Then I let the carto settle. I use juices with 20% or less VG so 15-20 minutes of laying it on different sides is plenty of time for every bit of stuffing to get damp.

Some people force more juice in various ways. I don't like the way a carto vapes when overly full.

And even if you use an identical carto type and fill it identically with identical juice, there can be some slight variety of ohms or stuffing density between any 2 cartos. With some crappy brands, even difference in the length of the stuffing inside. Boges seem very consistent but there could still be small differences.

LiteCigUSA started putting their name of various things. If cartos are Boge then LiteCigUSA says so in the description or title.

Dekang juice? If it's thin it's 100% PG. If thick it's 100% VG.

Do you know what ohms blank Boge cartos you bought? They sell standard and LR (2 ohm)

In any case - too many variables
- don't know if the prefilled was Boge nor what ohms
- don't know what ohms Boge blanks you bought

I've never had the pre-filled cartos from LiteCig but my experience seems to be the opposite with other pre-filled cartos. Filling them yourself they last longer. Definitely taste better. But these were not the same ones your talking about.

But if you like them and it's about the same price, use the prefilled. If you're getting 24 hours on a prefilled, that's a long time.

I think those probably are Boge prefilleds - the juice names sound like Dekang names.

Yeah I agree - most prefills are poorly filled. So if they seem like identical hardware and you filled the blank well with 100% PG juice then I just don't know. As I said, there are ways to force more juice into a carto. But most prefills are underfilled to save money and to avoid having vapers kill auto batteries with leaks.

You can buy cartos that hold a ton of juice for your ego.

The EMDCC holds about 3-4 ml of juice. Same with the echo-e cartomizer. I use these and they hold a ton of juice

Crystal Clear Vaping

If your vaping probably a ml a day if your getting 24 hours from a carto, one of these would last you a few days at least.

Cartos will have a certain variance in batting density and all that. Not all are EXACTLY alike. So there will be a slight difference between batches, as they are all hand made...yes, hand made one by one. If there is a variance, its generally minimal though.
And dont take dormouse personally. The typing doesnt relay much sensitivity, and never has. He/she means well. But hard for anyone to show voice influxion on a forum post. You'll catch onto what info is needed to determine problem areas, as dor was correct there.
But on a side note....you'll find that cartos decrease capacity with every fill. Once your up to 5-10, they wont take even 10 drops before dripping out the bottom, and you'll swear its empty based on the taste and production. Thats just how cartos are..all of em. That could also answer your original question.

Thank you Big Chief.

Here is the response from LiteCigUSA:

it is the liquids that in the prefilleds that keep them going longer. unfortunately it is slightly different then the liquids dekang sells in the bottles.
just keep topping them off and keep them wet, they will last alot longer that way.
unfortunately no there really aint any that last longer. cartomizers were origionally only designed to be used once and thrown away.

Interesting. I wonder what is different about the liquids.

Big Chief - I find with 20% or less VG (often 10% or less) and by avoiding all juices that drop flavoring sediment in the cartomizer stuffing, a week later I can still get just as much juice into a carto. But when I was using 30% VG and juices that did drop sediment, the stuffing would get progressively more clogged until I could barely get a few drops in at a time. Now my juices are so clean that a week later the stuffing still goes totally white as the juice recedes.

Just one more question (for now)

mAh Ohm volts

I have the Ego kit with 650 mAh batteries. When looking at the mega cartos they specify volts. Why can't they just say "These are good for 650 mAh batteries" ?

What volts are good for me? Take for instance the CCV Mega LR 1.7 (The Resurrector). It says "for 3.7 volts only".

Please be gentle with me as I am very confused right now.

LR (low ohms, low resistance) cartos should only be used on batteries 450mah+ but it really has little to do with mah which is the length of charge a battery has. But batteries 450mah+ are big batteries with stronger electronics built to expect the and handle current draw of low resistance. LR should not be ued on slim ecigs. A KR808D-1 slim ecig is a full 3.7v but as a slim 280-320mah battery it should not use LR cartos.

Re volts - volts and ohms together determine the heat generated and current used. A 1.7 ohm atomizer would be fine (though quite hot) on a 3.7v battery. If you put it on a 6v battery it will just pop. A 4 ohm atomizer would be hot on a 6v battery but on a 3.7v battery would be cold. The lower the ohms are vs the battery voltage, the hotter the the item will get and the more current it will draw.

Dual coils are a special case. A 1.5 ohm dual coil actually has 2 3 ohm coils. So - 3 ohms is not very hot on a 3.7v battery but it will make double vapor w/ 2 coils and draw TWICE as much current as a single 3 ohm coil would.

BTW your Ego battery is around 3.4v

it's funny you say that , but as a noob that's what I have noticed myself...and it's not just a hunch. I am pretty confident that it's happening even though I don't know why for sure.

I have actually weighed an empty boge carto and it's 4.5 grams, lol ..so i usually fill it to 5.5g. (1mil of e-liquid comes out to 1gram in my findings) I know it's an unorthodox way of doing it, but it actually works with a small margin of error.

It might be that the polyfill gets all gunked up and leaves very little effective portions to soak up the liquid. Interestingly enough, this actually seems to be the real bottleneck and the first thing that starts to deteriorate its performance instead of having the coil give up or burning the polyfill..in my experience. For instance, I have some cartos that scale in at 5.3g (remember, my findings show that a full carto should be about 5.5g) and they feel as if they are nearly dry while vaping.

The fact that they weight almost as much as a full one yet do not perform, supports the idea that they just gunk up with sediment over time...a considerable amount it seems, and it doesn't take but 4 or 5 days for it to get that bad.
