Pre made coils

i ordered some pre made coils, they were advertised at 1.8 ohms
but when i read the resistance it was reading 0.04 ohms ?
can anyone tell me why this is? im new to rebuilding so any thank is appreciated

How are you reading the resistance?

How many do you have on your atty? Did you squeeze them or alter them in any way while putting them on? Are they symmetrical? Check your post screws, make sure they're tight. Is your 510 connection between your atty and mod/mech loose?

You're ohm reader is bad, the coils are bad, you've got a short somewhere (most likely culprit).

i checked it on an mvp 2.0
its a single coil sitting around 1/8 inch from the posts

What RDA/RTA are you using? Sounds like you haven't completely secured the coil in your atty.

using nimbus rda, if i wrap coils myself using 28g kanthal wrapped around 2mm drill bit at around 8 wraps i get 1.8 ohms
so just wondering why these premade coils are showing much lower

The only time I have had that happen to me while using pre made coils is when my 510 connection from my atty to my mod was messed up
