Anybody else having problem with the Pre made breaking . I tried 6 wires already and while building the coil they break at the welding point. I did noticed that the joint is much thinner but darn it's frustrating . I'm not doing anything different then I used too.

I did have this happen. You should email them as they were very nice and responsive to my concerns.

Are you guys that are having problems following Imeo's instructions from the tips and tricks thread?

"26. To keep ready wire in good contition with no fear that it will break during putting it around the wick, then make 2 turns of it around wick, then leave it, then do 2 more turns etc. That way you dont twist hard its connections"

I've never had one break on me using this method.

yea, i do twist my own wires and I got ton of silver, wick and everything else . I get the pre made so I can do quick changes or have some in my office . Sometime I don't have time to twist, check ohms etc, its nice to have a pre-made wire i know will give me the same ohm every-time.

I kind of gave up on them but I see Imeo says they will be stronger.

One day I just sat down for a while and twisted together 30 of my own 1.7ohm wires. It didn't take that long really. Draw a template on the back of a plastic baggie for the right amount of R and NR cut and twist away!

30 will last a really long time.

What did you do with the Baggie?

Mine was done before that trick. I may have to treat myself to one of the new pre-made wires hen they come out for experimentation purposes. Honestly for me I only really like the flavor from my ody and penelope for 1-2 days max. I can handle the flavor out of the penelope for a couple days longer but it isn't nearly as enjoyable. (I think I like it better on penelope because it is on a vv device). Given I only get 1-2 days out of a build it makes much more sense for me to make my own at 5 or 6 cents a piece vs a buckish.

The above is one more reason I hope Proteus and or VIR come out soon.

Fright are you dry-burning ? Not just a couple of fires but a real good burn, i have restored some pretty nasty looking wicks/coil by giving dry-burns until the wire glows white and then do it a couple of time blowing the wick to remove gunk ash; im rebuilding only when im bored really lol il say im doing it once a week or when i remember.

I have same kinda issue. I lose that "fresh wick" flavor after a couple a few days too.I myself have gone to cotton candle wicks and really enjoying the flavor of them but the downfall is you cant do dry burns...

Rinse with hot water and fire it a few times to get most of the water out. Greatly restores the wick without the need to dry burn. I've used one for just about two weeks doing that. Changed it for fun, it was still pretty good.

If you really want it shining new Hot water + 10 seconds of work with a toothbrush will get it extremely clean. Then burn to dry water out.

Ohh yeah I've tried just about everything. Nine times out of ten I pop the coil dry burning. I have sonic cleaned the wicks tried water. Tried dry burning with water purges. They all help a bit but my juice just tears stuff up. I only get a day or 2 out of cartos also. And I can't get it to work in normal attys at all.
