Actually, they did a study on these collars, and they found they were less likely to damage the esophagus than a show collar. Due to the way they fit, and that the links are larger than the circumference of the head, they dont actually squeeze the neck, as much as put pressure on it. They now come with rubber tips at the ends of the prongs.
I dont have one anymore, as I only ever needed for one or 2 dogs I had years ago that were rescues and needed to re-learn nice walking habits. But they did work and the dogs were so much easier to handle. At the time, they all weighed more than me too...

These kind of collars should be outlawed...no reason for them.
It's my understanding that the dogs didn't get along anymore. Lily attacked Maddison and the trust was broken. But they both have nice homes now. Am I wrong?

Actually, solid white is not uncommon. Most are put down at birth. Most breeders dont want someone owning a deaf and soon to go blind 200 lb dog. Some breeders will keep them for themselves. I trained one to handsignals.
She was a certified therapy dog for me. But that is the exception to the rule.
No one has ever recorded an actual albino dane YET. An albino will have pink/red eyes.
The solid white have a light blue eye, that does reflect pink in light.
The white are referred as "lethal white" as they dont carry for any color other than white.

Sugar, rare albino, pure bred. Also deaf. Lives with loving master, 4 other danes and a cat, who is his best friend.
